Benham continues to showcase his abilities as a top sharpshooter in NC’s 2025 class on the NCISAA stage. He’s currently knocked down 74 3-pointers and counting for Concord Academy this season, in averaging 11.6 PPG and 3.1 3-pointers made per game. He’s managed to shoot 37 percent from deep on the year while also snagging 3.3 rebounds and dishing out 2.3 assists per contest. He’s a 6-foot-2 shooting guard for DII and DIII programs in the region to get to know given his skill set.

Benham is an absolute sniper, highlighted by his lightning quick release as well as parking lot range. His threes scattered across the game both kept the defense honest and gave a spark to his group when they went in. He’s also a nice connector and facilitator when plays break down and he has the ball in his hands. Looking like someone college coaches should take a chance on soon.

Benham had two good games this week as his squad went 1-1, dropping a tough game to title contenders Christ School. He’s overcome a slow start to the season as he fired in 4 threes a game over the past three contests. He’s got a flamethrower and really knows how to get to his spots without the ball in his hands. Solid playmaker as someone who doesn’t play on the ball as well. Should soon be a target for regional D2/D3 schools looking for a shooter to add to their ranks.

Benham is a certified sniper, and looks to have added other areas to his game since I last saw him. He seems to have grown and developed physically, but he is still shooting the cover off the ball. Off the catch, screens, and the dribble, he’s got a smooth motion and gets it off quickly. This attention that he gets has opened up driving lanes and the ability to attack closeouts, which he is doing with much more skill and ability than I saw him last. He’s able to get to the cup, or get to two feet and find the next pass. It should be interesting to watch him this year with an increased role in high school, but he played very well this weekend.

He’s shown impressive confidence knocking down a multitude of shots on the perimeter and easily has given reason for colleges to take notice of what he can do on the floor entering a pivotal junior season. After averaging just 5.5 ppg in 2022-23 at Concord Academy, look for him to turn a corner in 2023-24.
