Jay Anderson | Prep Hoops Scout
Brown is a name to know in NC’s 2026 class at Massanutten Military Academy on the post-grad scene. He spent this past season there, where he improved on his strength/conditioning while adjusting to the national-level schedule that Massanutten offers. He’s one of a few prospects who’ve chosen this route as well and it’s paid off so far.

Brown moves over to the Massanutten Military Academy Post-Grad squad where he should develop on the strength/conditioning side quite a bit. He’s a dynamic floor general who’s shown he’s capable of defending 94 feet as well as making things happen off the bounce with the ball in his hands. He’s a budding target for college programs of all levels to track over the next two seasons.

Brown has come a long way on the PH radar as he closes out his grassroots season with Top Shot Basketball East. He’s a shifty floor general who knows how to get others involved while maintaining his own scoring consistency on the hardwood. He’s an active presence on both ends of the floor who’s capable of making his presence felt in the backcourt. His ability to defend with pressure and apply pressure with his paint touches are a hard combination to beat. He’ll be one to watch this season on the prep scene with Massanutten Military Academy.

Brown was quite the two-way presence in the Trinity Christian School backcourt as one of their floor generals in 2023-24. He moves into the 76th spot after putting up 12.4 PPG, 3.4 APG, 2.3 RPG and 1.1 SPG on 42 percent shooting from the field and 32 percent shooting from behind the arc. He’s a prospect who’s made tremendous strides with his effortless decision-making on the floor. He’s growing into a prospect for DII programs to get on their radar and continues to improve.

Put together a very nice showing in the first half, scoring the ball at a nice rate from multiple levels, with 8 of his 11 Points coming in that half. He doesn’t turn the ball over often, understands how to play that game at different paces, and competes with intensity.

The impact that he makes on the court for his team simply can’t be measured by stats alone. He has an outstanding IQ for the game, doesn’t force plays, and can score the ball in bunches.

A dual threat Point Guard that can run the show for his team but can also step up and score from multiple levels, he made plays down the stretch to help his squad in their matchup against Westover. We love the intensity and confidence that he plays the game with, and you can see why colleges at the D1 level have already extended offers.

Brown was quiet in the blowout win over Harrells Christian, but he led his group in the semifinal and 3rd place contests against strong squads. He had 25 in the semis and 21 in the 3rd place game, continuing to affirm the idea that he is a great scorer at the point guard spot. He’s comfortable pushing the pace and attacking downhill, but has shown the ability to shoot it with a smooth jump shot as well. Also a pest who can guard the ball with quick feet and hands.

Stepped up and provided some much needed scoring for his team when the offense began to slow down at certain points of the game. He understands how to create space to get his shot off and showed that he can score the ball in both the halfcourt and transition.
