Rondon has been starting for Cooper since he was a freshman and is as battle tested as they come in the 25 class. Yamil is a smooth point guard who has become more and more of a scorer over his career. Cooper is right in the thick of contention in the 9th region and Rondon looks like he could be first team all region in a 9th region that is loaded with top level talent.
There may not be a hotter player in the state right now than Dillingham. After finishing as LIT MVP, the only thing that has proven it can slow Chance down is the weather causing games to be postponed. Averaging 18 points with shooting splits of 49/44/84 for a Saint X squad that could win the 7th region and get to Rupp is super impressive.
Birney is having a strong season while also having to do an extraordinary amount of work for his Ballard Memorial squad. Averaging 26 and 9 is impressive when you consider everyone in the first region knows where the ball is going on every possession.
Highlights
Luke has waited his turn at Catholic and was more of third option on offense the last two seasons but he has exploded in his Junior season and could be the best player in the region this season. Averaging 20 points and 7 boards per game and shooting the ball at a high clip, Beickman is having a huge season and has done his part to keep Catholic right in the hunt for a region title.
