A true combo guard in the sense that he can score or facilitate, Beickman is a very talented guard who is headed to play at D1 Eastern Illinois. Luke had a great career for Owensboro Catholic and is built like he can contribute right away as a freshman.

Home court advantage was huge for Owensboro Catholic as they had by far the biggest fan section of the morning session. They exploded in cheers when Beickman went up for a slam dunk off two feet and postered a defender for an and-1. An elite shooter, Beickman can get hot in a hurry from the outside and despite going 1/5 from 3-point range, Beickman did make some tough mid-range shots off the bounce. I also liked how Beickman attacked the rim and looked for contact, drawing a game-high five fouls. We’ll see if the home crowd can push Owensboro Catholic to the championship this weekend.

One of the latest members of the 25 class to earn a D1 offer, Eastern Illinois offered Luke recently and D2 Hillsdale offered him last week. Beickman had a breakout season for Owensboro Catholic and could be the main attraction for a Moss Elite squad full of scholarship level athletes.

One of the top shooters in Kentucky’s 2025 class, I got to see Beickman do more with the ball in his hands than I did with Moss Elite on the grassroots circuit. Able to run off screens and fire away, Beickman showed me some secondary play-making ability and burst as the go to option for Owensboro Catholic. On a well spaced team that had a lot of shooter, Beickman also is able to use his frame to score on the inside against smaller defenders. Expect Beickman to put up huge numbers as a senior and Owensboro Catholic should put up a lot of points this winter.

Beickman climbed from 40th to 22nd and may not be done moving up. Luke is a good shooter and driver who is capable of taking off and dunking over an opponent. With a strong summer in front of the right people, the Owensboro Catholic guard could land D1 interest and offers.

Luke has waited his turn at Catholic and was more of third option on offense the last two seasons but he has exploded in his Junior season and could be the best player in the region this season. Averaging 20 points and 7 boards per game and shooting the ball at a high clip, Beickman is having a huge season and has done his part to keep Catholic right in the hunt for a region title.

One of the more under the radar players in the class, Beickman is working to get his name out there with a big time Junior season, so far. Averaging 20 points and 7 boards per game with shooting splits of 49/43/67 and is very athletic which helps his finishing around the rim.
