Parker comes from big time basketball pedigree in northeast Oklahoma. The freshman is walking confidently in those big shoes as a consistent perimeter threat, who is earning playing time as a sixth man for the Roughers. A recent growth spurt has helped his playing time, but not as much as his smooth shooting form. In a recent big win over Bixby, Parker showcased that his range already extends to the college three point line and he has a bright future.
The youngster has earned playing time as a floor spacer for the 6A Panthers. He’s a steady threat from three, who must always be accounted for. Especially when he’s set up in the corners. Look for his role to grow as he matures, as from watching him in recent summers on the grassroots circuit, Thomas has more to his game as a ballhandler and playmaker.
Highlights
Ankrah makes this list as a strong shooter, while also already showing good flashes on the ball. Especially as he appears to have quickly adjusted to the speed of the 6A level, and doesn’t look to just score when he does attack. He’s already a good decision maker, with good vision when it comes to finding his open teammates. With his deep range and the young talent the Sabercats have in their 2026 and 2027 classes, Ankrah and his teammates will have lots of opportunity to make noises over the upcoming seasons. And perhaps even be ahead of schedule and shake up Class 6A with the quality sharpshooting they have across the board.

In a couple of varsity viewings, Morales has popped as a change of pace guard with great range on his jumper. He’s already comfortable spotting up a few steps beyond the three point line. While bringing good quickness and overall intensity on both ends of the court. He may be on the shorter side, but Morales has some of the traits that are often found in “heart over height” guards.

Gillispie is starting to see more run for Heritage Hall and it’s easy to see why with his silky smooth three point form. He’s automatic when he gets his feet set and already brings gravity to the Chargers’ offense. When closed out on, he’s not a blackhole either. As he’s comfortable as a passer, with similar accuracy and touch that he has a shooter. It will be interesting to keep tabs on him as he matures with his potential to become more of a playmaker.

Parks is another spot up specialist, who impressed in his consistency from three during two viewings earlier this month at the McGuinness Classic. Already over six foot, it looks like he could eventually have the size needed to be an off the ball guard. Especially with the way he sets up and hunts for shots when off the ball. His defense will need to improve, but he was an eager and enthusiastic defender during those two games, which is a good longterm sign as he gains experience and physical maturity.

Closing out with an another freshman who is has leveraged his ability as a shooter to earn early minutes for a Class 6A program. The freshman has textbook form as a spot up threat, while also starting to look like he’ll have more to his game off the bounce as he matures. Especially with the potential to bring scoring versatility with his mid-range game.
