Saturday, December 9th
The event begins with three girls games, starting at 11 A.M. Bloom-Carroll plays Warren followed by Worthington Christian Vs Portsmouth Notre Dame and Reynoldsburg Vs Fairland. The boys action begins at 3:30 P.M. when Bishop Hartley takes on North Adams. Hartley is led by the guard duo of brothers Jaden and Jakhi Calloway Jakhi Calloway 5'10" | PG Bishop Hartley | 2026 State OH . The Hawks difference could be their size and athleticism against a North Adams squad led by guard duo of Bransyn Copas Bransyn Copas 6'0" | PG North Adams | 2024 State OH and Jayce Rothwell Jayce Rothwell 6'1" | PG North Adams | 2025 State OH . At 5:00 P.M. Olentangy Liberty, led by Tyler Kropp Tyler Kropp 6'8" | PF Olentangy Liberty | 2025 State OH , take on one of the top teams in West Virginia in Huntington. Minford, led by 2025 duo of Myles Montgomery Myles Montgomery 5'9" | PG Minford | 2025 State OH and Bennett Kayser Bennett Kayser 6'4" | SF Minford | 2025 State OH take on New Albany. After a tough loss to Olentangy Orange this week, I’m curious to see how New Albany responds under new head coach Tim Casey. The night wraps up with a great individual guard battle between Caleb Lovely Caleb Lovely 6'2" | SG South Point | 2024 State OH and Zander Carter for South Point and Ashland Blazer (KY) respectively.
Sunday, December 10th
The second day of the event begins at 12:30 P.M. with a battle between Belpre and South Webster. Belpre returns a majority of their core from last season while Eli Roberts Eli Roberts 6'7" | SF South Webster | 2025 State OH will look to lead South Webster to a district title and beyond. Then at 2:00 P.M. the lone girls game of the day tips off when Fort Frye takes on Portsmouth. The final three games of the day are boys contests and at 3:30 P.M. defending district champion Federal Hocking takes on Lucasville Valley. Tariq Cottrill Tariq Cottrill 5'9" | PG Federal Hocking | 2024 State OH and Jace Copley Jace Copley 6'3" | SG Lucasville Valley | 2024 State OH are the marquee players to watch in this game. Harvest Prep then takes the trip south to take on Wheelersburg at 5:00 P.M. Brandon Roddy Brandon Roddy 6'1" | PG Harvest Prep | 2025 State OH is joined by some talented seniors for Harvest Prep while Wheelersburg will have a handful of multi-sport athletes leading their charge. The night wraps up with a battle between Chillicothe Unioto and Proctorville Fairland. Unioto got 24 points from Zeke Schobelock in their season opening win over Miami Trace and senior Newton Hoops is another player to watch for the Tanks. Fairland beat North Adams in overtime to start their season, Noah Marcum had a double-double and Chase Allen Chase Allen 6'1" | CG Proctorville Fairland | 2024 State OH led the team with 24 points.
