When Minford went on their big third quarter run to go up double-digits, Kayser was the guy making plays on both ends of the court as Minford never trailed after taking control. Kayser’s highlight of the game came during that stretch when he drove baseline and had a sweet reverse layup. Throw in a couple mid-range shots and a pick and pop 3-pointer and Kayser had his fingerprints all over this victory.

One of the top prospects in the fall league, Kayser lived up to his reputation on Saturday with a dominant performance. Playing above the rim, Kayser had some monster dunks off of two feet throughout the day. Kayser has an old school offensive game, loving to work in the mid post and mid-range area. With soft touch and the confidence to shoot over smaller defenders, Kayser is a tough match-up in the half court. I was encouraged by his willingness to shoot the 3-pointer on Saturday as well. If Kayser can consistently knock down shots from beyond the arc, he’ll be an even better offensive player the moment he steps on a college campus.

were the key pieces for Midwest Basketball Club Gilliland to hoist the 17 U championship trophy. Kayser is tough to stop from the high block due to his high release point and touch from the 8-15 foot area of the court. Stretching his shot to behind the 3-point line more often over the past couple months, Kayser hit some big shots including an and-1 3-pointer in the first half. With small town studs you always want to see how they perform against top talent and Kayser has continually raised his game this spring when facing other scholarship level talents. Expect the top Division II programs from across the region to fight over Kayser with low major programs also monitoring his development as well.

Continuing to raise his profile each weekend, Kayser got a lot of attention after a strong performance at the Bill Hensley Run N Slam and has become a priority for regional Division II programs. After a strong weekend at the MHC live period in DC, Kayser has added low major Division I interest. A versatile forward who loves to knock down shots from the mid-range, has the explosiveness to throw down alley-oops and finish through contact, Kayser has been a consistent scorer against top competition. Expanding his range to beyond the 3-point arc has been key for Kayser who will need to be able to stretch the floor when necessary at the college level. A name to know from southeast Ohio’s 2025 class.

Going off for 32 points in a near 50 point win on Friday evening, Kayser was locked in with numerous scholarship programs in attendance. Kayser knocked down four 3-pointers and shot the ball with some confidence from beyond the arc. Doing his best work in the mid-range and high post area, Kayser was getting to his spots and knocking down pull-ups and mid-range jumpers. With the quick ball movement that the entire Midwest Basketball Club MHC runs, Kayser used cuts to throw down some high-flying dunks off cuts and screens. Continuing to improve his stock this spring, Kayser and the rest of his Midwest Basketball Club group have drawn the attention of college coaches across multiple levels this spring.
