Previous Rank: 46rnThe Rainier Beach big man has already shown great improvements, proving he can be an anchor inside, expanding his array of post moves, converting at a higher rate, and taking on a bigger offensive workload. Robinson has the size to be a big-time prospect and has continued to improve his touch and footwork, as well as showing he can draw fouls inside and come through at the line.
Highlights
Previous Rank: 37rnGionet has stepped into this season as West Seattle’s on floor leader while also showing a more physical style of play. He’s still been showing off that range from 3-point, but what really stands out with him is his size and athleticism from the backcourt. He’s a tough, above the rim finisher who can explode to the rim, and provides a steady defensive presence.
Previous Rank: 40rnThe 6-foot-7 forward has already committed to Air Force next year and has been a much more assertive player in the early games this season. He is the post presence for O’Dea and has been an active player on the glass and picking up scraps around the rim. He also shows an ability to take opposing bigs off the dribble from the perimeter, though he doesn’t show a ton of moves out there, he can effectively use either hand for straight line drives. When he was younger he tended to rely more on the jumper, but even as he’s gotten more physical inside he’s retained the ability to knock down open jump shots.
Previous Rank: 65rnThomas has been a big figure for Federal Way this season, posting efficient games from the field like his 19-point outing against Todd Beamer going 7-of-8 from the field. He’s got a good mix of strength, shooting, and craftiness in the half court, showing he can score from inside and out, and doesn’t often need a ton of space to do so. He’ll continue to be a big scoring threat in the 4A and makes a tough backcourt combo with Kofi Peyton Kofi Peyton 6’4″ | SG Federal Way | 2024 State WA .
Previous Rank: 76rnAllison has been a really intriguing prospect with his size and physicality, showing over the past year or two he can be an impact player off his work rate alone. However, he’s really improved his efficiency inside, finishing better through contact, incorporating more moves from the blocks, and doing a better job getting wide and keeping leverage down low. He looks a lot more reactive and quicker to act off the catch, even showing some more consistency at the free throw line while still remaining a high motor player.
Previous Rank: 73rnWright possesses good length and athleticism for a guy who can run both guard spots, and still has some buttery touch with the jumper. For him, the jump has a lot to do with getting stronger and more explosive. He seemed to shoot a lot of jump shots last season but has been doing a better job getting to the rim and has looked like a more powerful guard over the summer and into the early games this season. He started off the year with a big 21-point, 10-rebound game, while also divvying out six assists. Expect more of that to come over the course of the year.
Previous Rank: 93rnHe’s been the steadiest player for Auburn Mountainview so far and that consistency really embodies his game overall. Bowden can affect the game in a lot of ways, plays with poise and aggression, and has shown a lot of offensive upside this year while averaging 12 points per game. He can facilitate a bit, rebounds well, and is a tough defensive player who’s put up 3.3 steals per game this winter.
