Expert Analysis
Ryan Morgan | Prep Hoops Scout
Bowden was one of the leading guys in a big game against fellow top-3 team in the NPSL 3A, Todd Beamer. He’s been a steady scorer for the Lions all season and continued to step up against Beamer with some tough buckets inside. It was a really ugly game that had more fouls than points in the opening quarter, but once things settled down Bowden got to work in the paint with tough buckets and boards to propel them to the win in the second half. He’s got some quick bounce and showed his strength with a lot of contested buckets and rebounds in traffic.

Previous Rank: 93rnHe’s been the steadiest player for Auburn Mountainview so far and that consistency really embodies his game overall. Bowden can affect the game in a lot of ways, plays with poise and aggression, and has shown a lot of offensive upside this year while averaging 12 points per game. He can facilitate a bit, rebounds well, and is a tough defensive player who’s put up 3.3 steals per game this winter.

I was late getting to Bowden but he’s another kid who continues to impress me more and more every time I see him. He really shows a balanced skill set out there and can shoulder a number of different roles and responsibilities on the floor. He’s an effective playmaker with a solid handle. He can shoot the three-ball well and also shows an ability to finish at the rim with strength and finesse. And he has enough athleticism and IQ to make plays on the defensive end. He’s a winning player that seems to make impact plays at key times and rarely made a negative play at the showcase.
