WA Freshman Showcase: Team 4 Evaluations

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The PH Washington Freshman Showcase was last weekend and so many talented athletes came to compete for the class of 2030. So many players stood out and fought hard the whole day! Here is the evaluation for team 4.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#143 - [player_tooltip player_id='3730460' first='Vicente' last='Acab'] - Kentlake HS</em></strong> - Vicente brought the energy to the court and fought hard every single possesion. He dove for loose balls and rebounded hard the whole showcase. He always made the extra pass too, being unselfish and having great vision on the court. He reads defenses quickly while working well in the pick and roll by coming off screens using correct angles. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#163 - [player_tooltip player_id='3723968' first='Terrance' last='Tran'] - Kennedy Catholic HS </em></strong>- Terrance is a quick guard out on the court, having nice agility and fantastic speed with the ball in his hands. He stays patient, waiting for gas that he can attack to get down-hill. Tran is fundamental and did all the little things really well all day long. He scored nicely throughout the day and finishes through contact at a high level. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#183 - [player_tooltip player_id='3733879' first='Josiah' last='Castro'] - Kentwood HS</strong></em> - High level defender who moved his feet quickly when guarding the ball but can also read the other team smoothly when defending off-ball. Castro uses his speed to get paint touches often, not being afraid of contact in the paint when going for finishes. He made his impact felt on the court on both ends throughout the day. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#189 - [player_tooltip player_id='3679897' first='Zion' last='Palacol'] - Marysville-Getchell HS </strong></em>- Zion played with really good composure and anticipation on the court throughout the day. He read the defense quickly and did a great job at attacking the weak spots to get to the bucket. Zion kept defenders on their toes with his quick handles and ability to blow by them in an instant. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#190 - [player_tooltip player_id='3733184' first='Maurkice' last='Lovelace'] - Lincoln HS </strong></em>- Maurkice is a player who has a high ceiling on the court. He has a well rounded offensive game with a very reliable jump shot. He defended nicely all day too, being able to move his feet quickly and keep opposing players in front of him. Lovelace is a gritty, hard working player who always brings the energy for his team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#198 - Ade Liburd - Lake Stevens HS </strong></em>- Ade showcased his consistent jumper all day, being able to find his rhythm and knock down threes with ease. He fought hard on both ends, having a high motor and rarely showing that he was tired out on the court. He attacked nicely to get paint touches, either getting his own buckets or dumping it off to a teammate. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#212 - [player_tooltip player_id='2879488' first='Xavier' last='Avril'] - Bellevue HS </strong></em>- Xavier was a top performer on the day and was able to score from all levels while being able to defend smoothly against anyone on the court. He handled pressure from opposing defenders with ease, dribbling out of double teams and using his vision nicely when attacking. Avril knocked down shots all day too, scoring from the mid-range and deep levels easily. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#342 - [player_tooltip player_id='3723666' first='Kellen' last='McDaniel'] - Northwest Christian-Colbert HS </strong></em>- Kellen was one of my favorite players from the showcase, playing hard every play and being extremely fundamental. After getting deep in the paint, he stayed patient and didn't force anything as he was able to find the right shot or an open teammate. His jumper was smooth all day long too, hitting shots at a high percentage. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#672 - [player_tooltip player_id='3728811' first='Hunter' last='Wells'] - Seattle Prep</strong></em> - Hunter was one of the most athletic players at the showcase. He showcased his strength when fighting for rebounds down low. He grabbed balls coming right off the rim too, staying alert and ready to go. His mid-range game is smooth as he can score in a variety of ways and also use his dribble to get to the bucket. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
