Previous Rank: 73rnWright possesses good length and athleticism for a guy who can run both guard spots, and still has some buttery touch with the jumper. For him, the jump has a lot to do with getting stronger and more explosive. He seemed to shoot a lot of jump shots last season but has been doing a better job getting to the rim and has looked like a more powerful guard over the summer and into the early games this season. He started off the year with a big 21-point, 10-rebound game, while also divvying out six assists. Expect more of that to come over the course of the year.

Jaymon had a huge AAU season last year, showcasing his skills on a high level all season. He also had a great season with Meadowdale. He handles the ball well and finds his teammates nicely. His deep shot is effective, as he can sink 4/5 in a game with ease. He will look to keep perfecting his craft this summer with the guys at Seattle Select.

Wright showed off a pure stroke in the AAU season and has continued to shoot with phenomenal touch from just about any spot on the court. Shots from downtown still need to convert at a little higher rate, but his ability to hit the midrange from various takeoffs is impressive. He’s handled a lot of ballhandling duties as well and looks to be a potential breakout player next season.

The junior and his Meadowdale team pulled off a close win against Inglemoor HS in their season opening game. Jaymon was ALL over the glass, grabbing rebound after rebound. He finished the game with 18 points and 15 rebounds. I’m looking forward to watching his junior year, maybe he’ll earn a jump in the rankings.

Wright has one of the smoother jump shots around and he can bury it from a variety of gathers. He can hit the off-balance turnaround, drill the spot up three, and excels with his pull-up jumper. He’s got good quickness and long arms, and he doesn’t need a ton of space to get his shot off.
