Top Scorers
Zach Luz Zach Luz 6'1" | CG Mount Rainier | 2024 State WA Mt Rainier
Obviously works on his game as a guy who’s not too big (6-foot-1) or overly athletic, but was still able to score from every level with efficiency and under tight defense.
Martin Kaupanger Martin Kaupanger 6'5" | SG Annie Wright | 2025 State WA Annie Wright
Athletic and powerful at the rim, patient on the perimeter and the final knife came with his 3-point shooting. It was pretty much pick your poison with Kaupanger on Saturday.
Jackson Pepper Jackson Pepper 6'3" | SG Selah | 2025 State WA Selah
One of the more aggressive players getting downhill also showed some good change of pace and ability to spin off of defenders inside to create space.
Mason Thomas Mason Thomas 6'1" | SG Federal Way | 2024 State WA Federal Way
Strong guard who plays through reaches and swipes, can absorb and create contact inside to get to the foul line, and sets it all up with the ability to hit from downtown.
Dayne Cardoza Dayne Cardoza 6'0" | PG Ingraham | 2025 State WA Ingraham
Quick, shifty guard who was getting to the rim consistently and showed the ability to hit from tough angles and use some hangtime to finish in traffic and under duress. Ended up hitting the game-winning shot in the championship game.
Top Shooters
Blake Stempniak Blake Stempniak 6'4" | SG Kentwood | 2024 State WA Kentwood
Came out blazing from three. Couldn’t miss and wasn’t going to move off the line until someone really ran him off. Shot over the top of closeouts and was ready each and every time he caught.
Aman Sterling Aman Sterling 6'4" | SG Inglemoor | 2025 State WA Inglemoor
I knew Sterling could shoot but the way he got his shots at the showcase was really impressive. Did a lot more off the bounce than I’m used to seeing from him and showed off the handle and size to consistently get open in the mid-range to drain shots.
Jaymon Wright Jaymon Wright 6'4" | SG Meadowdale | 2024 State WA Meadowdale
He’s got a high-arching shot and some good length to get his shot off under tight contests. He’s the type of guy who’s known for shooting and scoring but also has a nice handle from handling some point duties that plays into him creating space off the dribble.
Mason Thomas Mason Thomas 6'1" | SG Federal Way | 2024 State WA Federal Way
Doubling back on Thomas again, he is a supremely confident shooter from long-range and was pretty effective again at the showcase. He can get to the rim but if you give him space he has no qualms about pouring it in from long-range.
Zach Luz Zach Luz 6'1" | CG Mount Rainier | 2024 State WA Mt Rainier
Luz is more of a “scorer” than just a “shooter” but I wanted to recognize him for his ability to hit the contested jumpers. He was blanketed multiple times throughout the showcase and was still able to hit jumpers over defenders who often had some size on him. He’s able to take advantage of the smallest openings and shows incredible moxy to take and make tough shots.
Martin Kaupanger Martin Kaupanger 6'5" | SG Annie Wright | 2025 State WA Annie Wright
He’s an athlete at the guard spot who has the size and quickness to get inside pretty much when he wants, but was really feeling it from deep at the showcase and forced defenders to step out even further to try and quiet him from long-range.
