Previous Rank: 37rnGionet has stepped into this season as West Seattle’s on floor leader while also showing a more physical style of play. He’s still been showing off that range from 3-point, but what really stands out with him is his size and athleticism from the backcourt. He’s a tough, above the rim finisher who can explode to the rim, and provides a steady defensive presence.

Previous Rank: 81rnGionet took a big step forward this season and was instrumental in helping West Seattle get to the regional round of the 3A state playoffs. He is a unique player in his class that can handle the ball from the point, shoot with deep range, and provide impact defensive play with steals and blocks from the perimeter and at the rim. His athleticism at 6-foot-4, combined with his awareness and shooting ability are what lifted him up to No. 44 in the ranks.

I’ve seen flashes of Gionet for a while now, but it seems he’s finally finding that consistency and confidence to be a big part of an overlooked West Seattle squad. He’s a big guard that is an asset defensively, chasing down smaller guards to block shots at the rim, and using his length to disrupt passing lanes and create turnovers. You’d think with his size he is more of a rim player and slasher, but Gionet thrives offensively as a floor spacer. He’s got a nice, high release point, extended range behind the arc, and has been hitting with excellent consistency early in the year. He’ll still mix it up inside and get involved on the glass, but his potential as a 3-and-D guard is rising quickly.

Bo is a player who is going to start the season off hot and maintain it throughout this year. This will surprise a lot of people but his potential in my eyes is very high. He could easily be ranked in the top 100 come halfway through the season. He is very athletic and lengthy. He uses his body really well when driving to the bucket, being able to shield the ball and defender to get the bucket. He finishes good through contact when driving too. His shot is consistent as he can hit the mid-range shot with ease and can pull from deep too. Keep an eye on this 2024 guard.

West Seattle loses both their starting guards from a year ago and Gionet is in position to eat up a lot of the vacated minutes this season. He’s a tall guard that has good strength and vision of the court. He can stretch the floor at times, and his consistency from behind three-point could be a key asset for the Wildcats. There’s a lot of potential here for Gionet to develop as a taller, stronger point guard that can add versatility on defense and spacing from beyond the arc.

Bo is an absolute gritty guard on the court, which I think is extremely fun to watch. He attacks the bucket hard, exploding by defenders often. He embraces contact down low, as he can adjust mid air nicely and finish through it. He has a very good jumper, being able to hit the three with a hands in his face or not. He utilizes his body when driving well, being able to create just enough space to get a high percentage shot for himself. WF West is a team to watch next year with all the returning talent coming back.
