Jack looks to be one of the state’s premier 2027 prospects, and it showed in his production as he led his team to a 1-1 record against Milwaukee Golda Meir and Milwaukee Hamilton. At 6’5 he already possesses good size on the wing, and showcased some impressive versatility. He spent time handling the ball for his team, and was consistently beating his man from the top of the key to get to the rack. Good body control and touch to finish with either hand from a variety of angles inside. Has the ability to finish off one foot, or stop and play off two feet around the rim. Jack is also a threat from beyond the arc with a smooth release on his jumper. Kohnen put up some impressive scoring numbers in two games, and hit the game winning mid-range shot against Golda Meir.
Dupree helped lead his Carmen NW team to a tight win over Homestead. He was in constant attack mode, and the opposing defense had trouble keeping him away from the basket. Quick change of direction allowed him to blow by his defender on the perimeter, and he does a great job of exploding off two feet to hang in the air and finish against size. I really like how he reads defenders and utilizes screens on the perimeter, knowing when to use the screen, or when to attack in the other direction. With the game tied late, Dupree drove to the rim and got fouled at the buzzer before sinking the game winning free throw.
Marcus Webb
Marcus Webb
After seeing the occasionally varsity minutes as a freshman, Marcus looks ready to step into a key role as a sophomore. I really like how he’s constantly moving on the floor. He has the quickness to attack off the dribble, but was also constantly passing and cutting looking to create easy looks with his off-ball movement. Marcus was putting his quickness to use on the defensive end as well, making good reads to jump cross-court passes and pick up a couple of steals in the process. Webb looks to be one of the better point guards in the state’s 2026 class at this stage.
Tim Franks Tim Franks 6’5″ | SG Homestead | 2024 State WI had Homestead in it until the end against a tough Carmen NW team. He’s established himself as one of the state’s premier shooters, as he was constantly finding ways to get open looks from three, including a couple of pick & pops. He wasn’t shying away from any physical play either, and excelled at dribbling into a post-up against smaller guards. So patient with his back to the basket, and his ability to play off two feet allowed him to utilize shot fakes and pivots to create easy finishes around the rim.
Ahmir Woods Ahmir Woods 6’2″ | PG Golda Meir | 2025 WI was making plays on both ends of the floor for Golda Meir. He’s a long and lanky guard who changes his speeds well on the ball to attack and get to the rim. Has some explosive athleticism, and combined with his long frame he’s able to finish comfortably against size. Looks like he’s been improving on the perimeter as well as he was confidently pulling up for some three point makes off the dribble. Defensively his long frame and agility allows him to guard a variety of spots on the floor and cause disruptions up in the passing lanes.
Highlights
Kymoni Hunt
Kymoni Hunt
Hunt was all over the place making plays for Hamilton on Saturday. He’s one of the scrappiest on-ball defenders in the state, willing to pick up full-court on his own and apply non-stop ball pressure. His pressure alone was enough to force a couple of turnovers, but he also picked his moments to go in for double teams and force even more turnovers with the chaos created. Utilized his quickness to turn those steals into easy finishes on the other end as well. Fearless finisher around the rim at 5’9. Looks ready for a huge senior year in the City Conference.
Matthew may go a bit under-the-radar on a loaded Nicolet team, but his contributions are key. In a win over Milwaukee Lutheran he was constantly battling on the glass for rebounds, fully utilizing his 6’6 frame. Provides some rim protection but is comfortable stepping out and moving his feet to defend on the perimeter. Playing alongside some quick guards that love to attack, he’s always ready to catch a last-second dump-off pass and power his way up to the basket to finish.
