Carmen NW trailed by more than 20 points at one point, but never showed any quit. Their senior floor general was leading the charge as MAS just didn’t have an answer for his quickness on the ball. At times he was beating 2-3 defenders in a single possession to work his way to the basket to finish. Dupree has elite change of direction with the ball in his hands, and was running circles around defenders with his crossovers and spin moves. Once at the rim he can just hang in the air and contort his body in a number of ways to finish against size. Finished with 33 points and 10 rebounds in the win in front of a packed gym.

Dupree was doing everything he could to keep Carmen in the game with St. Thomas More. He was absolutely fearless attacking the basket against a frontcourt loaded with size, and had some impressive finishes on his way to 31 points. Fletcher does a great job of hanging in the air and extending away from his body to finish. This allows him to finish against taller players, and often times draw a foul in the process as bigs will try to swat in order to reach the ball. Really love the intensity he brings to the defensive end to the floor as well, as he pressures the ball hard, fights to get over screens, and competes for rebounds against size. One of the top point guards in the state.

Dupree helped lead his Carmen NW team to a tight win over Homestead. He was in constant attack mode, and the opposing defense had trouble keeping him away from the basket. Quick change of direction allowed him to blow by his defender on the perimeter, and he does a great job of exploding off two feet to hang in the air and finish against size. I really like how he reads defenders and utilizes screens on the perimeter, knowing when to use the screen, or when to attack in the other direction. With the game tied late, Dupree drove to the rim and got fouled at the buzzer before sinking the game winning free throw.

Dupree is absolutely fearless attacking the basket. Plays with great change of pace on the ball allowing him to blow by his man on the perimeter, and once inside he excels at playing off two feet. Very explosive at his size allowing him to rise up to finish off the glass, while also being able to go right into shot blockers and hang in the air to draw fouls or finish through contact. Had an impressive step-back three as well to add to his scoring total. Defensively he knows how to get up under opposing ball handlers, as he has good lateral quickness to move his feet and continuously cut them off.

Dupree put up an impressive 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists for Carmen NW in the win over MAS. Fletcher plays with excellent change of speeds which allows him to create separation on the arc or get by his man and get two feet in the paint to make plays. He’s the type of player who could likely go for 30+ on any given night if he wanted to, but is willing to pass up on good shots if there’s an even better shot available to one of his teammates. When he looks to drive you can always see him scanning the floor for the best available option.
