Marquise showcased some freakish bounce on Saturday morning against LA Broncos. The 6’2 wing got loose in transition for a high flying dunk in the first half. Later in the game, he attempted to dunk on someone, the defender got a piece of the ball, but Marquise just hung in the air long enough to adjust and still lay it in while getting fouled. Walker has a long and athletic frame with a wingspan that helps him make plays defensively. Pride Roc plays a high pressure defense, and Marquise’s ability to switch and guard multiple spots helped his team force a bunch of turnovers throughout the game.

Karter looks ready for a strong senior year at Muskego. At 6’6 he has a long frame with good mobility at his size, allowing him to play a bit in the paint and some out on the wing. Defensively he impressed with his timing to get up and block shots, as well as the versatility to switch on to smaller players and move his feet out on the perimeter. Turned defense into offense with a steal leading to a two handed slam out in the open floor. In the half-court he was an efficient finisher at the rim, showcased a mid-range game, and was able to create a bit off the dribble.
As a defender you just can’t afford to give Drew an inch of space on the perimeter. Put a hand down and Drew won’t hesitate to let it fly from three. Against Meanstreets he was knocking in shot after shot from beyond the arc, helping lead Wisconsin Crusaders to the win. Wasn’t afraid to attack off the dribble either, and does a great job of playing off two feet which allows him to either go up and finish, or pivot, and knock down a turnaround jumper to avoid shot blockers under the basket. Never looks rushed, and is able to capitalize on whatever defenders give to him.
Highlights
Grant is one of the top post prospects in Wisconsin’s 2024 class, and was making plays on both ends on Sunday morning. I believe he had 9 points on his first five touches in the half-court, as he powered up for 3 finishes, and then went 3/4 from the line after drawing fouls on his other two touches. Keeps the game simple down low, powering up after a hard drop-step. Didn’t showcase it in the game I saw, but from past viewings I know he has a smooth jumper as well. Defensively came away with 2 or 3 blocks, but altered countless other shots. His presence in the paint alone caused opposing players to change their shot around the rim, forcing countless misses as they were more focused on getting their shot off over him rather than making it.
Markel did a bit of everything in the win for ABC Young Lions on Sunday. At 6’3 he has some size on the wing, but can rebound and play in the post at times like he’s 6’5-6’6. Really good at finding a body to boxout and attacking the ball out of the air to pull down boards in bulk. Offensively he works hard off the ball cutting and finding pockets of space around the basket to quickly catch and finish. Had a lot of success getting high percentage looks around the basket or earning trips to the FT line.
Ahmir had a productive game on both ends of the floor leading Pride Roc Elite past LA Broncos. A lot longer than his 6’1 height would suggest, and he puts that length to use blocking and walling up to contest shots around the basket. Always went straight up and it allowed him to consistently alter shots without fouling. Offensively has a smooth pull-up jumper from three and mid-range, making defenders pay for dropping off of him or keeping a hand down.

Keegan is such a smooth scorer on the wing. He just makes everything look effortless as he floats into a jumper off the dribble. Has the ability to lull defenders to sleep, and then in a flash he’s into his shot to put three points on the board. Hit four or five 3’s in the first half helping his team build up a solid lead over Meanstreets 15u, a lead that they would never look back on. Just consistently gets buckets no matter what team he’s playing against.
