With the high school season quickly approaching, the Wisconsin Sophomore ID Camp brought together an impressive collection of the state's top 2027 prospects under one roof at the Community First Champion Center. The event showcased a deep pool of emerging talent, highlighted by dynamic floor generals, high-flying transition threats, and versatile wing scorers.    Jackson brought instant pace and flare to the floor from the moment games tipped off. As one of the quickest end-to-end players in attendance, the St. Thomas More lead guard was constantly involved in fast-break action—whether pushing the ball himself or filling lanes in transition. He wields a tight handle and a deadly pull-up game in the mid-range, consistently rising up for jumpers before help defenders can contest. Jackson is an electric backcourt prospect to watch closely as his game continues to mature.     Sugars leveraged his low center of gravity and strong frame to consistently bully defenders. Operating with exceptional patience, he let the game come to him rather than forcing action. Sugars excelled at attacking off the catch, burning hard closeouts with crisp drives, and knocking down perimeter shots with confidence. His mature balance between assertive scoring and unselfish distribution made him one of the most complete guards on the floor.     Coming off a strong freshman campaign at Catholic Memorial, the 6'6” sophomore looks primed for a major breakout season. Calvert effortlessly got to his sweet spots on the floor after establishing his perimeter stroke early. His combination of legitimate size, tight ball-handling, and athletic downhill driving made him nearly impossible to slow down once he got a step on his man. Calvert proved beyond a doubt that he is one of the premier overall prospects in Wisconsin's 2029 class.    <h3 class="wp-block-heading"></h3>    Every time Fowlkes takes the floor, his growth as a point guard is evident. The MAS guard displayed impressive decision-making, combining great shot selection with proactive playmaking. Utilizing his size and floor vision, he operated with poise out of pick-and-roll sets, keeping the ball secure while reading the defense. Fowlkes was particularly dangerous in transition, dropping on-time, on-target passes to trailing bigs and cutting wings all day.     Carson delivered high-flying entertainment throughout the day, showcasing elite, above-the-rim athleticism. The Whitnall wing wowed spectators with acrobatic finishes and emphatic dunks, but his basketball IQ stole the show. Since his freshman year, Carson's floor awareness has taken a massive leap; he consistently jumped passing lanes for steals and dictated tempo on defense, turning defensive stops directly into highlight-reel transition points.     Mrotek stood out as an relentless two-way competitor who played locked-in basketball every possession. Defensively, his sharp instincts yielded numerous on-ball steals in open space. Offensively, he made complex reads look simple while keeping defenses guessing with his off-ball movement—earning easy buckets via fast-break layups, flare-screen threes, and backdoor alley-oops.
