Calvert, was undoubtedly the unofficial MVP of Team 3 at this event at the Champions’ Center. Karti has grown a ton in his development offensively with his ability to hit the three point shot on catch and shoot opportunities, off the bounce, and out of reverse pivot moves. The six-foot-six wing was one of the best shooters in the gym all day. Karti’s game features a lot of downhill moves as well as he is able to carve up opposing defenses due to his instincts with the ball and his strong upper body. Calvert can impact the game on the defensive end with his developed frame, and his willingness to get up and reject shots at the rim. The Catholic Memorial prospect, is one of top prospects in the 2029 class and has very projectable skills for the next level as he continues to grow and develop his game.

Coming off a strong freshman campaign at Catholic Memorial, the 6’6” sophomore looks primed for a major breakout season. Calvert effortlessly got to his sweet spots on the floor after establishing his perimeter stroke early. His combination of legitimate size, tight ball-handling, and athletic downhill driving made him nearly impossible to slow down once he got a step on his man. Calvert proved beyond a doubt that he is one of the premier overall prospects in Wisconsin’s 2029 class.

I was really impressed with the progress Karti has made over the summer. He’s no longer just a big body that can overpower opposing forwards around the rim. During the 3v3 portion he showcased his ability to blow by opposing forwards with a quick first step before exploding off the floor for some powerful dunks. He really surprised me with how quickly he could get off the floor at his size. Not only was he threatening to bring the rims down, but Karti was knocking down threes at an impressive clip. At 6’6 he was comfortable creating separation for his own shots or connecting off the catch.

Calvert was a problem in their game against Altoona with his strong frame, athleticism, and skill. Karti has made strides in his development since his freshman year concluded at Catholic Memorial. The six-foot-six prospect who runs with Team Herro , consistently knocked down triples in their game Sunday afternoon, including an impressive jab-step deep triple. Karti is a bruiser when he drives to the basket, and because of his strength, the defenders seem to be unable to slow him down when he is able to gain advantage. On the block, Calvert seals extremely well to gain post positioning and bury defenders for easy buckets. As Calvert continues to grow and develop, he will be a prospect to closely monitor in the 2029 class in Wisconsin.

Calvert is a skilled and physical power forward for Team Herro 15u. He’s difficult to matchup with at this age because of just how strong he is in the paint. Karti has no problem displacing opposing forwards and simply powering his way up for two points inside. He’s not just a paint presence though, as throughout Saturday morning Karti was popping out to the top of the key and connecting on some outside jumpers. Had a productive freshman season at Catholic Memorial and is now translating that success over into the spring.

Karti looked like a man amongst boys in a Friday night win, owning the painted area on both ends of the floor. The freshman forward used his strong 6’6” frame to fight through contact and finish through multiple defenders at a time. A good portion of his scoring damage came from second chance opportunities, as he was so effective crashing the offensive boards. Calvert can also stretch the floor and connected on a pair of triples, one pulling up off the dribble and the other off the catch.

One of the state’s better class of 2029 prospects, Calvert looks like a football player in warmups and then goes out and plays like a basketball player once the ball is tipped. He scored 26 points for a short-handed Catholic Memorial squad in its loss to Plymouth. Calvert picked-and-popped his way to three triples while also scoring with his size and strength near the basket. Calvert is key piece for a CMH program that might be a year away from becoming a true force in the Classic Eight Conference.

Calvert is a sturdy wing who is comfortable stretching the floor for team 1. His frame and shooting ability drew the team’s paint protector to step out to guard away from the rim.
