Jackson is one of the many weapons for MG that can score 20 in a given game. The rising six-foot-eight prospect, has improved a ton since the conclusion of the high school season. Jayden is extremely mobile: sprinting to screens, running hard in transition, and cutting hard to finish at the rim. When Jackson is able to get close to the rim, he is a strong finisher using his athleticism and strength to finish over defenders. On the other side of the ball, Jackson is an elite rim protector, challenging shots directly at the rim. Jayden had 16 points and a ton of rebounds in their triumph over Sheboygan North. Jackson proved this weekend why he is one of the best prospects in the sophomore class in Wisconsin.
Jayden displayed many skills that are extremely rare for someone at his size at the 15U level. The 6’8” freshman was dominant inside, using his strength and size to alter opponents shots and clean up on the boards on both sides of the ball. He also looked very good running the floor in transition, finishing around the rim efficiently and hitting teammates with some impressive passes, showing off his vision. Jackson can stretch the floor as well, making him a well-rounded game changer that has unlimited potential.
Although still a pup, Jackson’s upside is off the charts. Already a legitimate 6-foot-8 and with good mobility, Jackson also possesses a good skill set. He can put the ball on the floor, pass to a cutter from the high post and score from outside the three-point arc. He has some work to do from the foul line, but he’s just a freshmen and has lots of time to improve on that aspect of his game. Jackson finished with six points and drew multiple fouls from Baraboo defenders while starting and playing about half the game for Monona Grove.
Jayden showcased an impressive combination of skill, size, and physical tools throughout the showcase on Saturday. As just a freshman he moves so well at 6’6-6’7, able to beat smaller players off the dribble, or bully opposing forwards around the basket. Really nice footwork for a freshman big, showing a nice face-up game out of the block and high post. Jayden played a lot of point-forward for his team, and was probably up there with the event leaders in assists, as he excelled at seeing the floor and setting up his open teammates. Towards the end of the game he was able to get out in the open floor and throw down a pair of dunks.
Jayden will be a long-term prospect to keep an eye on in Wisconsin’s 2029 class. He already looks to be 6’6+, has some strength on his frame, moves well laterally, and can make plays above the rim. Playing up at the 15u level, Jayden impressed as a rim protector, sliding into position to get a hand on a handful of shots against Minnesota Fury
. Offensively he’s comfortable handling the ball on the perimeter, made some nice cuts without the ball, and competed on the offensive glass.
Jayden Jackson effective in virtually every aspect of the game with the size, athleticism, and length to dominate in the paint, the ball-handling, scoring ability to operate on the perimeter, and the passing vision to facilitate for his teammates, along with the effort and tenacity to shut things down defensively.
Jackson is a lengthy wing out of Monona Grove. The talented prospect played his summer ball with Davis Brothers Elite. The 6’3 prospect had one of the most dominant performances at Middle School Camp. He showed his versatility as an inside out scorer. Jackson attacked the basket off the dribble from the perimeter in impressive fashion by way of his foot speed. He stood out a great deal with his back to the basket after a strong drive. His touch around the basket was that of a high level.
Jayden Jackson, standing at 6’3″, possesses impressive size and length that immediately sets him apart. He plays with a keen understanding of how to use his physical attributes to his advantage, especially when navigating through the defense. Jackson excels at keeping the ball high and finishing over opponents in tight spaces. Additionally, he is highly effective at playing off two feet, often utilizing a jump stop or pro hop to get into prime scoring positions inside.
