About Ben
Expert Analysis
Melvin Gates | Prep Hoops Scout
An all around player he can fill just about any role his coach needs, whether that’s controlling the game as a floor general, scoring, or taking over defensively. He returns as one of the leaders for a Norskies team that gained valuable experience last season and now looks capable of contending for a trip to the Kohl Center. I expect Pritzl to improve in every statistical category and compete for first-team all-conference honors in a loaded Badger Large.

It is easy to see why Ben is one of top ranked players in this class, as he is a swiss-army knife for this loaded Team Herro squad. He can play different roles when he is on the floor, being very unselfish, playing both with the ball in his hands and off the ball very effectively. He is a shooter and needed to be accounted for on the perimeter by the defense. Pritzl was also great at slashing to the basket, only needing to make one strong move to get downhill.

This may have been Pritzl’s third varsity basketball game, but you’d never know it by the way he handled himself on the court against older players. He scored 17 points, played with poise and basketball smarts, and physically matched up with upperclassmen. He finished drives to the basket, sank three-point shots and moved to ball to open teammates. Defensively, Pritzl was able to stay in front of his opponents with his lateral quickness and smart positioning. Pritzl is definitely one of the state’s better class of 2029 prospects and he’s proving that claim to be true from the get-go as a starter for unbeaten De Forest.

. He finds ways to get quality looks, and when left open he doesn’t often miss. His off ball movement allowed him to find pockets of space to take a kick-out pass and knock down an open three. Also showed he can pull-up off the dribble and make defenders pay for going under screens. One of a handful of promising young players for DeForest.
