Jayden missed a good chunk of his sophomore season with an injury, but is back hooping at a high level this spring with Wisconsin Academy . Despite being listed at 6′, Jayden looks a bit longer than his height, and uses that long frame to extend and finish around shot blockers around the basket. He scored immediately off the opening tip, and didn’t slow down much from there as he put up 15 points in game one. Knocked down three jumpers and showed the change of speed needed to create off the dribble against high level athletes on D1 Minnesota .

Doedens always seems to be in attack mode with the ball in his hands. And that means he’s looking to cutters to the basket or to find openings for himself to either spot up for a jump shot or get all the way to the rim. The quick lead guard is having a very good season for DeForest as he is averaging 17.0 points and 2.3 assists while helping the Norskies to a 7-8 record while playing very strong opponents in an out of conference.

A backcourt player who seems to be in motion at all times, Doedens affects the game in a very positive manner on both ends of the court. He can put lots of ball pressure on opposing guards while also preventing opponents from getting into the lane and to the basket. On offense, Doedens is an unselfish player who is quick and shifty enough to shed defenders on drives to the hoop while also being able to drill three-point shots from well beyond the arc. One of the state’s better class of 2028 guard prospects, Doedens teams with

to form arguably the best 1-2 punch in the event, as the defense simply couldn’t stop him from getting to the rim. Whether he was jumping passes for steals and transition opportunities, cutting hard to beat his man backdoor, or blowing by defenders off the dribble, Jayden simply found ways to get to the basket. Did a great job of reading the defense to know when to get all the rack to the rack, or when to pull-up for a short jumper or floater to avoid a charge call.

Doedens was a perimeter scoring threat for Team 4, displaying a smooth stroke and excellent shot selection. His mechanics were consistent, allowing him to connect even against contested closeouts. With one of the quickest releases in camp, he was also comfortable creating his own looks in the midrange, proving himself a versatile offensive weapon.
