I had a chance to check out Kobe in the 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 games and came away very impressed with his skillet, length, and ceiling as a player. Kobe has a decisive first step and is able to use this off the bounce and closeout making decisions. The six-foot-three guard has tremendous court vision as he set up teammates with perfectly timed passes in the half court, in transition, and most importantly in pick and roll situations. Kobe is a strong finisher at the rim, and has improved in this part of his game since the last time I saw him play this winter. Humphrey’s development since the season ended, his frame, and skillet will allow him to be an impact player for Sussex, and a name to know in the 2029 class.

Boasting a versatile 6’3” frame, Humphrey delivered a polished two-way performance throughout the camp. Offensively, he attacked downhill using sharp, unguardable driving angles and kept defenders off balance with crafty footwork out of the triple-threat position. He comfortably knocked down open perimeter jumpers and proved adept at drawing contact to earn frequent trips to the free-throw line. What also stood out was his ability to turn defense into offense in the blink of an eye. Sussex Hamilton gets a two way prospect worth watching in the coming season.

A very impressive athlete with a good basketball IQ, Humphrey was one of the more pleasant surprise players at the Sophomore ID Camp. His court awareness, passing ability to constant presence on the glass was outstanding during three-on-three play. He is very quick off his feet and is extremely competitive on both offense and defense. The Chargers of Sussex Hamilton have a very strong player in Humphrey and one who figures to be a top performer for the program the next three seasons.
