Hayes Gatlin – Basalt
Gatlin currently leads 4A sophomores in made triples, at 43 makes, converting 44% of those attempts. Standing right around 6’3, Gatlin is a fundamentally sound guard who is a knockdown shooter off the catch. Possessing a fairly high release point, Gatlin has no problem letting the rock fly versus contests. Basalt sits at 7-8 on the season, aided by Gatlin’s output of 13.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. The shooting guard makes the most of his height, notably through his consistency boxing out opponents.
Trey Boychuk – The Academy
Boychuk stays shot ready at all times, providing the vast amount of three point attempts within this group at The Academy. Although somewhat undersized, Boychuk has no problem maximizing his gravity to create drives into the paint. Another area of intrigue is his increased volume on short floaters. Through Boychuck’s sophomore season with the Academy, he has posted 11.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2 assists per game while knocking down 36% of three point attempts.
Harun Hamma – Montview
Hamma enjoys pushing the pace for scoring opportunities before the defense has been set. Through the season with 11-4 Montview, the guard has posted 11.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.8 steals while knocking down 40% of his three point attempts. Hamma has some eye opening shots here and there, proving to be one of the more creative guards from those DSST programs.

Although somewhat undersized, Yoder has the complete package as a lead guard. He has been capable maneuvering inside the arc, keeping the defense on his hip and making a smart read. Within 4A, Yoder is easily one of the best decisionmakers in tight space. Through his season with Resurrection Christian, Yoder has posted 18.8 points, 2.9 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game while contributing 59% of twos and 43% of threes. One area of intrigue resides in the point guard’s potency in the pick and roll, already possessing an excellent pull-up game and pace of play.

The second sharpshooter within Resurrection Christian’s 2025 class, Crutcher brings a variety of valuable skillsets on the offensive side. He is a sturdy guard capable of taking hits, allowing him to be a bit more dynamic on both ends. Although an excellent spot up shooter, Crutcher is more than capable bullying his way in the mid-range for space creation. Through his season with 11-4 Resurrection Christian, the guard has posted 13.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while contributing 41% of three pointers.
Caden Villareal – University
Villareal is a steady presence off the ball, proving consistent searching open space for his shots. Through his season with 9-6 University, the shooting guard has posted 7.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game while contributing 41% of three point attempts. The guard is dependable boxing out opponents on the defensive glass.
