Another prospect who came to Ohio because his dad got a college coaching job is Reese Robinson, who’s Dad is the new head coach of the Cleveland State Vikings. Robinson joins a stacked Saint Ignatius squad with an abundance of talent at each position. Robinson impressed me the most with KC Run GMC with his ability to play around the basket and finish dump off passes and be smart with the basketball. Robinson doesn’t need a high usage to have an impact on the game at both ends and will be a valuable addition to Saint Ignatius this winter.
Enis is a small school standout who had a great spring with Dayton Elite 16 U. Enis is a natural scorer as the lefty can get buckets in a variety of ways. Enis was a standout at the Prep Hoops Grit Memorial Classic in Columbus, which got him on our radars, along with a couple of his Dayton Elite teammates. Enis and Jacob Roeth Jacob Roeth 6’1″ | PG Miami East | 2024 State OH is a solid duo for Miami East as they look to build on the success they had in 2021-22.
Smith was impressive on a Nova-Martin squad that got more out of the individual pieces on the roster. This was a team that was bought in defensively and moved the ball well to win a lot of games on the UA Rise circuit. Smith fit well on that team as the recipient of good ball movement and able to take and make the open shot. Smith was also one of the more physical players on the team and uses this to score while driving to the basket. Reynoldsburg has a lot of size this season and could be one of the top teams in central Ohio if their young talent blossoms.
Levis is a talented combo guard who shined with both his grassroots and high school program this summer. Levis has a good feel for the game and figures out ways to drive in the half court and either finish with a layup or floater around the rim or dish to his teammates. Levis is also tough on both ends of the court. Levis’ MAC Basketball program will also be on the Prep Hoops Circuit next year so be on the lookout for more articles about Levis and the rest of his MAC Basketball teammates as they have a solid 2024 core.
