One of the top prospects on the Prep Hoops Circuit, Levis has a handful of scholarship offers from Walsh, Lake Erie, Lourdes and most recently Findlay. After leading his team to the state title game last season, look for Levis to try and take that final step and bring a trophy back to Rocky River.

Levis is a prospect I’ve watched probably a dozen times and Saturday was unquestionably his best defensive showing I’ve seen from him. Flying around the court everywhere by jumping passing lanes and reading where the offense wanted to go with the basketball, Levis had probably five or so steals in the first half alone. Making winning plays when it counted, Levis is highly ranked due to his ability on the ball to create buckets but his defensive impact on Saturday was refreshing to watch and helped his team advance to the final four.

One of the more highly recruited small college prospects in Ohio, Levis already holds several Division II and NAIA offers from in-state and surrounding area programs. Levis is a big time scoring guard for Lutheran West and is a leader for the talent-loaded Mac Boys Basketball 2024 squad that will compete to win the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals this weekend.

Another guard high on all Division II radars, Levis has one offer from Walsh but interest from plenty of other scholarship programs. After leading Lutheran West to the state championship game as a Junior, Levis is returning with an impressive cast of talent next season. One of the toughest isolation covers in the state, Levis has the ball on a string when he’s attacking the basket. I expect the amount of offers Levis has to increase by the time July concludes, a name for college coaches and fans to keep close tabs on over these next two months.

One thing that stuck out to me right away with Levis, his fierce competitive spirit. The kid played hard the entire game to him and had an edge over him. He did not talk any trash but by the way he was playing, you can tell he was letting his game do the talking. He is a little bit of a throwback player as he got most of his points in the midrange. He gets very high elevation on his shot which makes it super difficult to block or even contest. He has a great dribble pull-up either way. He also showed ability to get to the rim and score from beyond the arc. He ran the show for MAC Basketball 17U. Consistently made the right pass and got everyone involved.

MAC basketball was a little short handed this weekend but Levis and company still managed to finish 3-1 on the weekend. Levis had more of a scoring focus without some usual suspects on the floor with him and then used the extra defensive attention to find his teammates easy looks.

One of the top Ohio prospects on the prep hoops circuit, Levis is a pure hooper in every sense of the word. Leading his team to the state championship game and falling short, expectations will be higher next season as Lutheran West returns a majority of their core pieces. Playing for Mac Basketball in the spring, Levis does an excellent job of creating for himself and others while running the show from the point guard position. In my opinion, Levis will end up being a priority recruit for Division II programs and it shouldn’t take long for the offers to start rolling in, Walsh was the first program to offer this highly talented guard and certainly won’t be the last.
