A prospect we’ve discussed at lengths throughout his high school career, Moore has a handful of programs actively recruiting him and looking for a commitment. Moore has posted offers from USC Upstate, Wayne State and Charleston (WV) with other regional scholarship programs also interested.
Smith came to Ohio to play at Spire from the south and I most recently caught him with Alabama Fusion this spring on the EYCL circuit. A big-time athlete who covers a lot of ground on the defensive end, Smith is a prospect I expect to eventually play Division I basketball. Spire sent a handful of prospects to Division I programs in the class of 2023 and Smith has a chance to follow that trend.
The third Njie brother to come through the Centerville program, his oldest brother Mo started his career at Eastern Michigan before transferring up to SMU. His middle brother Kebba started at Penn State and followed his coach to Notre Dame this off-season. Baboucarr is a little shorter than his older brothers but plays as a wing forward with his explosive athleticism and defensive versatility. Still early in his recruiting process, don’t be surprised if Division I schools come calling with a strong senior season at Centerville.
Lipkins has flown a little under the radar in Ohio, playing with a Phenom United 17 U squad that was all Kentucky prospects alongside him in July. After his big game at Rock Hill against Midwest Basketball Club I expected some more recruiting buzz around his name. Expect scholarship programs to get involved sooner rather than later with Lipkins, he’s one of the most talented guards in northeast Ohio.
One of the top prospects on the Prep Hoops Circuit, Levis has a handful of scholarship offers from Walsh, Lake Erie, Lourdes and most recently Findlay. After leading his team to the state title game last season, look for Levis to try and take that final step and bring a trophy back to Rocky River.
