I really liked the footwork Capers showed with the ball in his hands, using slow steps, pivots and euro-steps to create space to score at the rim. Capers has a stronger frame for a guard which allowed him to take contact and still finish in the paint. Capers also liked the righty scoop finish on the left side of the rim, getting the ball up to the basket before rim protectors could block his shot. Capers has attended a couple of Prep Hoops Ohio showcases throughout the years and continues to impress in the showcase setting.

Capers is an ultra-quick and shifty pass-first guard. He plays so fast and is always under control. He uses his shiftiness and quickness to set up others. He made the extra pass and just knows he needs to keep the ball moving. He can score it as well. His shiftiness makes it hard to stay in front of him. Opening up a ton of scoring opportunities.

A prospect who stood out at our freshman camp a while back, Capers has been on our radar for a while and really emerged on the scene with Brookside last winter. A talented scoring guard, Capers can get hot from downtown or finish off two feet in the paint. This scoring ability allowed Capers to explode for multiple 30+ point games last season and I’d expect more of the same next season with another year of development both physically and skill wise.
