With all the talent at Woodford County, it would be easy for JJ to get lost in the shuffle. On Saturday, Jenkins looked like an impact player for the Jackets this season. The long sophomore showed he can create his own offense or get teammates open looks. He’s a 2025 to keep eyes on this season for sure.
Highlights
Mackey was a complete unknown to our staff coming into Saturday but he showed off a good skill set and a willingness to post up on the block or put the ball on the floor and attack the rim. North Hardin is young but talented and will be an X factor in the 5th region this year.
Highlights
Another player who wasn’t known before Saturday, Luke showed up and played at a high level in Louisville. Beickman is on the short list of best young guards in the 3rd region and has a high skill level. Coach Riley from Catholic told me Beickman works his butt off in the gym and it shows.
Nolan is a potential breakout candidate this year for a CAL team that will need some offensive firepower. Wahl showed he can score off the bounce or in the catch and shoot and isn’t afraid to take smaller defenders down to the block and score. Look for the 6’6 forward to be an impact player for the Centurions this season.
