Our staff has Miami Columbus power forward Cameron Boozer Cameron Boozer 6'9" | PF Columbus | 2025 State #2 Nation FL at the top spot. The 6-foot-7 prospect averaged 18.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, four assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 64 percent from the field. Moreover, Boozer shot 40 percent from deep. He essentially has a college level frame as a rising sophomore. You can make a strong argument that he is the best prospect in his class in the country.
However, it’s early…
Which South Florida prospects can push for No. 1?
Alexander Lloyd Alexander Lloyd 6'4" | SG Westminster | 2025 State #64 Nation FL – Westminster Academy (PH: 2)
Alexander Lloyd Alexander Lloyd 6'4" | SG Westminster | 2025 State #64 Nation FL is not far behind at No. 2 in our rankings. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard has elite acceleration and bounce off the dribble. Lloyd has an extra spring going downhill and will put a defender on a poster if left in open space. He also has a quick release and is efficient from the perimeter. He averaged 23.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 blocks per game while shooting 47 percent from the field. Lloyd also hit 79 3-pointers at a 40 percent clip. I think his decision making and awareness is where Lloyd will take the next step. Things like turnovers are something that he will only improve on. Many publications have him as a top 25 player in his class in the country. He will certainly be a D-1 guard in the future.
Cayden Boozer Cayden Boozer 6'5" | PG Columbus | 2025 State #28 Nation FL – Miami Columbus (PGH: 4)
It’s pretty hard to contend with Miami Columbus when they have two players in the top 5. Cayden Boozer Cayden Boozer 6'5" | PG Columbus | 2025 State #28 Nation FL was the floor general behind the Explorers’ 7A state championship. He averaged 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 62 percent from the field. Boozer is strong with quick lateral movement to the bucket.
Shon Abaev Shon Abaev 6'7" | CG Calvary Christian | 2025 State #24 Nation FL – Miami Country Day (PGH: 5)
Shon Abaev Shon Abaev 6'7" | CG Calvary Christian | 2025 State #24 Nation FL is probably the best long range shooter in the region. The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 21 points per game and hit 83 3-pointers (43 percent). Five or six 3-pointers from him during a game would be a walk in the park. Abaev’s motion and efficiency off the dribble is smooth. He will only get stronger over the years which will round-out his elite scoring ability. He holds offers from SMU, Florida Gulf Coast and St. John’s.
Dwayne Wimbley Dwayne Wimbley 6'6" | SG Dillard | 2025 State #175 Nation FL – Dillard (PGH: 6)
Dwayne Wimbley Dwayne Wimbley 6'6" | SG Dillard | 2025 State #175 Nation FL has as much upside as any prospect in the area. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard averaged 15.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game across 24 games. Wimberly plays with finesse and toughness in the halfcourt. He is a big body guard that is not afraid to score in traffic. Wimberly’s future is very bright in South Florida.
