Wimbley, the FSU commit did a little bit of everything for the Raiders on Thursday. The 6’7″ wing was hot from beyond the arc in the first half of the game, knocking in 4 three-pointers. Wimbley was able to rally his teammates and make sure everyone contributed in some way to over come the early deficit the Raiders had and scrap out a come from behind win for their 28th win on the season and a Class 6A Regional Championship.

A two-sport athlete, with basketball in his blood, Dwayne Wimbley Dwayne Wimbley 6'6" | SG Dillard | 2025 State #175 Nation FL Jr. brings a 6’6” frame and great hands. Whether he’s receiving a lob for a finish at the rim or a bullet pass behind the arc for a look at the deep ball, Wimbley Jr. does a great job corralling the ball and going to work. His jumper pulls to the right a bit, but he still hits at a high clip due to the work he puts in to get open before the catch. Wimbley Jr. remains in constant motion orbiting around the Boozer twins and taking advantage of looks when they arrive for him.

The 6-6 junior wing eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone back on January 11 in a 67-48 win over American Heritage Delray. Wimbley finished with just 12 points but played with a ton of toughness whether it was challenging shots defensively or his efforts on the glass. Wimbley also got his teammates involved whether it was on crisp swing passes or off back-door cuts finishing around the rim. Wimbley continues to improve his decision-making when on the floor as well as his court vision.

Dwayne Wimbley, A 6-7 junior is very athletic and active for his size where he dominates on the glass at both ends of the floor. Wimbley is a lob threat around the rim on the offensive end where he can finish effectively and through traffic using his strength to an advantage. He also has a very good handle for his size and his skillset on the perimeter has continued to improve as well. Wimbley plays with high energy on the defensive end as he is very active in the passing lanes where he can get steals which lead to transition baskets on the offensive end.

Wimbley, a 6-6 rising junior is a multi-positional type prospect who has length and athleticism to display on both ends of the floor. On the offensive end, he has a strong attack for the basket where he punishes the front of the rim as well as a smooth mid-range jump shot. On the defensive end, Wimbley has a ton of quickness to go grab rebounds and can get out into transition where he has a great handle and passing instincts. Wimbley has gained college interest from a few Power 5 programs heading into his junior season.
