DC Premier 17 & U, Roster Breakdown.
DC Premier 17 & U will be playing in the UAA Session 2 Tournament this weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana. They have one of the most talented Grassroots rosters in Maryland /DC .
Last weekend in the UAA Session 1 in New York City, DC Premier recorded a 2-2 record with wins over Team Charlotte and Washington Supreme, a 64-63 loss to Team Breakdown and a loss to Earl Watson Elite.
#0 Donovann Toatley, PG, 5’10”, Riverdale Baptist, Upper Marlboro, MD, 2018.
Donovan is currently ranked #23 in our 2018 Maryland /DC rankings which are loaded with D1 players. He is a powerful and explosive PG who can bully his way into the paint for a dish, floater or lay-in. Donovan plays with high energy and he is a very tough on ball defender. We will be writing some updates for him this spring and summer and we feel Donovan is a player on the rise.
#1 Jermaine Harris, PF, 6’8″, Rock Creek Christian, Upper Marlboro, MD, 2018.
Jermaine was awarded 1st Team All Met by the Washington Post this April and he helped lead RCA to a 28-4 record and a #4 ranking in the DMV. He averaged 14 ppg and recorded 18 double doubles and we believe Jermaine is on the brink on becoming a national recruit. He is a powerful force inside and an excellent rebounder with rim protection skills. Jeramine has been working hard on his perimeter game and he is now a threat to drain a 3. Jermaine is currently ranked #10 in our very strong Maryland / DC rankings and the University of Georgia just offered.
#2 Everette Hammond, PG, St. Vincent Palloti HS, Laurel, MD 2017.
Everette is having an outstanding spring for DC Premier.
#3 Prentiss Hubb, 6’3″, PG/WG, Gonzaga , Washington, DC, 2018.
Prentiss is already a national recruit and ranked #2 in our Maryland / DC rankings. Prentiss played combo guard this year at Gonzaga HS and will now be handed the keys to run the Eagles at PG this coming season. Gonzaga finished the year at 32-5, ranked #8 by Max Preps in the nation and #1 in the DMV.

#4 Darron Barnes, 6’6″ Combo Forward, Wise HS, Upper Marlboro, MD, 2017.
Darron can play multiple positions offensively and defensively and is one of the most versatile players in Maryland /DC.
We recently wrote a Recruiting Report for Darron below:
#5 Saddiq Bey, 6’6″, WG/WF, Sidwell Friends HS, Washington, DC, 2018.
Saddig has grown to over 6’6″ and he is having a great spring for DC Premier. With Notre Dame just offering Saddiq is now on his way towards becoming a national recruit. We will be writing an updated Recruit Profile for Saddiq shortly.
Senior Staff Writer Adam Ayalew wrote a Recruiting Report for Saddiq last summer in the link below.
#5 Jonathan Preston, 6’5″,WG, Rock Creek Christian, Upper Marlboro, MD, 2018.
Jonathan is currently ranked #27 for our 2018 Maryland / DC rankings and in our opinion Rock Creek Christian has the potential to be a nationally ranked team next season. Senior Staff Writer Adam Ayalew saw Jonathan at the Metro Challenge in late March and said, “Jonathan Preston is a versatile player who does everything well, and has a some toughness. Preston can hit the 3 if left open, and is also a very good passer. The 6’5 wing is athletic, and a good rebounder from his position.”
#10 Jaden Faulkner, 6’5″,WG, Eleanor Roosevelt HS, Greenbelt, MD, 2018.
Jaden earned honorable mention All Met this past season and helped lead Eleanor Roosevelt to a #15 ranking in the DMV with a fine 19-5 record. We will have a Recruiting Report on Jaden in the near future and we have seen him live several times this season coming away very impressed.
#11 Ross Young, 6’7″, WF, Sidwell Friends,Washington, DC, 2017.
Prep Hoops Senior Writer Jack Herron had this to say about Ross after the DMV Showcase this spring “.A high motor, athletic combo forward with range on his jump shot, Young was phenomenal early as he came out with a lot of energy. He hit the offensive glass, pushed the basketball in transition and scored it from all three levels throughout the day. His intensity was seen on the defensive end as well, as he can guard multiple positions and is really good in pick-and-roll situations. He holds an offer from Pepperdine, and impressed a number of D2 coaches at the event.”
#21 Donald Carey, 6’5″, PG, Frederick Douglass HS, Upper Marlboro, MD, 2017.
Donald is very talented and long PG who will be prepping next season
Senior Staff Writer Andrew Kuhla wrote a Recruiting Report for Donald in the link below.

#22 Devon Flowers, 6’9″ WF, The Potomac School, Potomac, MD, 2018.
Devon played in this springs Capital Hoopfest in Bowie, MD and Senior Staff Writer Adam Ayalew said, “Devon Flowers was seen defending guards as well as big men throughout the weekend. The versatile 6-foot-8 forward still needs to get stronger, but you can’t ignore his intriguing blend of athleticism, size, and significant defensive potential.”
#24 Richard Njoku, 6’7″, St. Johns College HS, Washington, DC, 2018.
Richard had an excellent junior year for St. Johns HS in the WCAC( Washington Catholic Athletic Conference) which many believe to be the best High School basketball conference in the nation. He is very quick off his feet with great explosion and he finishes very well in the paint. Richard has very good rim protection skills and possesses a very good basketball IQ. Bucknell University just offered him.
