Xavier Hall of Game Elite 16U faced a challenge in the paint against Team Lillard 16U. Throughout the game, he demonstrated his exceptional rebounding skills for his team. His frame allowed him to create effective positioning within the paint. Xavier had several successful plays around the basket, including dunks and layups. Defensively, he served as a reliable rim protector, preventing Team Lillard 16U from scoring. 

Hall made the switch over to Team Loaded VA 16u for the weekend and his impact was absolutely apparent in every single viewing in Rock Hill. Hall played inspired basketball all weekend long as he was imposing his will on the opposition, flying above the rim in traffic every time you looked. He also proved he can be mobile enough to guard ball screens at a high frequency as the opposition was looking to play him out of the game by getting him in space. He was able to recover when needed, help contest jumpers in ball screens, and recover to contribute on the glass. Offensively he was dominant, using his size and footwork to mash to the rim with his back to the basket and finish with fury above the rim. A truly special talent that will only get better as he develop his touch and continues to tone up his frame.

Xavier Hall is a 6’10 monster inside who finishes above the rim, rebounds at a high rate, and is a highly productive big on both sides. Xavier got going early in their matchup vs. Dreamvision, scoring inside early and often. He was unstoppable inside, and it’s easy to see why he’s one of the top bigs in the country. He has helped Team Loaded advance and show why they are a team opposing squads don’t want to matchup with.

Going into the weekend, Xavier was one of the players I was most excited to watch for the first time. There were a host of college coaches on the sideline to check in with Hall as well, and he impressed with a near double-double against Dorman (SC). Listed at 6’10”, Hall is as big and physical a big man prospect as you will see – and he looks like he wants to dunk everything when he’s in the paint. He displayed a nice hook shot in the post along with dominance on the offensive glass, but the more skilled he becomes, the more effective he will be at the next level.

Hall showed flashes of dominance in spurts this week but his team wasn’t able to string together any real sustained success as they went 1-3 in Rock Hill. Throughout the four games, Hall averaged 5.3 Points, 3.8 Rebounds, 0.8 Assists, and 1.0 Blocks per game. Hall’s hands, physicality, and motor shined in his bright moments. Camps can be tough settings for traditional bigs and you certainly felt that at times this week for Hall but there were certainly stretches throughout the week where he was able to showcase his ability. Hall recently made the move over to Mooresville High School where he’ll certainly leave a major mark.

We recently ranked Xavier Hall Xavier Hall 6'10" | C Mooresville | 2028 State #36 Nation NC as the top 2028 in North Carolina and it’s easy to see why when viewing. Hall is a possesses supreme physical gifts with his 6’10” frame, long arms, and elite hands. Despite his size, he’s mobile enough to recover defensively and doesn’t get abused on the perimeter like one would think. He anchors the defense, secures many rebounds for his team, and on the offensive end he’s a quality low post option. He does his best work in the dunker spot where he catches everything and finishes with purpose above the rim. Hall is still getting faster in his movement and developing his touch beyond the rim but there is so much to like early on for the young big man from NC.

Hall will rise in our next 2028 update and he backed that up with his performance for Game Elite 3SSB 16u guiding his team to a 3-1 record as he averaged 10.8 Points, 8.3 Rebounds, 1.5 Assists, 0.5 Steals, and 4.0 Blocks per game while shooting 69% from the floor in the process. Hall is a physically dominant big man who knows exactly who he is out there on the floor. He imposes himself on the block offensively, wearing down his opposition over the course of the game. He’s super engaged on the glass at both ends of the floor and utilizes his frame to box opponents out. Hall did struggle from the free throw line (47%) and if he can improve on that over time he’ll become essentially unguardable from inside of 10 feet. Hall is a national level prospect and is starting to get the recognition for it.

Hall is a physical specimen and his skillset has done a whole lot of catching up with his natural gifts. Davidson Day has one of North Carolina’s most talented rosters and Hall consistently stands out. This group has played a really tough schedule and come into the playoffs as the #5 seed in the NCISAA 3A bracket with a 20-11 record on the season. Hall is a classic throwback big man that has bruising ability in the post combined with real footwork and touch around the rim. He tries to finish with power when given the chance, he sets great screens at different angles and in different spots on the floor. Hall is a bully on the boards and has vastly improved his mobility/conditioning, allowing him to switch out on occasion and play bigger minutes as he’s so valuable to this group. Hall is starting to establish himself as a national level prospect, leading Davidson Day to a 3A State Title would only further cement that.

Word out of North Carolina has been that Hall is turning another corner with his play this winter and he lived up to the billing with a strong two-way effort despite a narrow loss to nationally-ranked Paul VI (VA). Hall took a bit to settle into the game but ultimately established himself as a powerful and skilled force around the rim, scoring 12 points to go along with 9 rebounds and 6 blocks. He showed strong fundamentals as a scorer on the block and via offensive rebounds, keeping the ball high and finishing with soft touch using either hand. Defensively, he was consistently in the right position with good technique as a rim protector to block shots without fouling. Still growing and steadily improving his conditioning, Hall has a chance to develop into one of the more imposing frontcourt presences in his class nationally.
