Throughout the game, he demonstrated his exceptional rebounding skills for his team. His frame allowed him to create effective positioning within the paint. Xavier had several successful plays around the basket, including dunks and layups. Defensively, he served as a reliable rim protector, preventing Team Lillard 16U from scoring.      AJ Cox was a standout player for Game Elite 17U that impressed me with his activity and production around the rim against Southern Assault 17U. Offensively, AJ showcased his quickness and agility when receiving the ball close to the basket. He hustled for offensive rebounds and consistently ran the floor, demonstrating his commitment to the team's offensive efforts. Defensively, AJ displayed his tenacity and presence in the paint. He made sure to secure defensive rebounds and contest shots coming into the lane, providing a solid defensive production for his team. Standing at 6'9, AJ's mobility from the perimeter to the paint highlights his versatility and ability to impact both ends of the court. Since watching him play, his recruitment has skyrocketed, securing multiple offers from various schools.      [player_tooltip player_id='2779428' first='Segond' last='Sompa'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2393604' first='Tennessee' last='Impact'] 17U was a formidable prospect who could average a double-double in any game. Throughout my evaluation, he consistently delivered solid production on both ends of the court, primarily in the paint. Standing at 6'9, the forward showcased his athleticism and shoulders to finish strong in the paint, sometimes absorbing contact to complete plays. Occasionally, he demonstrated touch in the mid-range, taking short jumpers from face-ups and receiving the ball in that area. Defensively, he was highly aware of opposing players approaching the paint, contesting and blocking shots from his rim protection. Despite being younger than his opponents, he played exceptionally well and stood out as one of the most polished players I observed throughout the weekend. Offensively, Mason demonstrated poise in the paint. He never rushed to score, instead using his frame and footwork to execute precise finishes. He also excelled in pick-and-roll situations as a screener, capitalizing on his size to create mismatches for opposing teams. Mason's physicality on the court is advanced and he embraces it, playing through it effectively. Defensively, he maintains his frame in the paint, serving as a reliable anchor for the Wildcat Select 17U. It's no surprise that Mason has received high major Division I offers from multiple schools. His exceptional skills and potential make him a highly sought-after player.
