Expert Analysis
Eric Wallace | Prep Hoops Scout
Brangman-Cain was one of the more impressive sophomores we evaluated in California two weeks ago while playing with Team Loaded. A strong, attacking wing, he is extremely difficult for defenders to keep out of the paint because of his combination of strength, explosiveness, and downhill ability. He finishes well through contact, embraces physical play, and consistently puts pressure on the defense at the rim. Brangman-Cain is also a high level athlete who impacts the game beyond scoring, rebounding his position aggressively and competing at a high level defensively. His toughness, motor, and two way upside continue to stand out this spring.

The 2028 prospect is a very athletic wing with a good feel for the game. He moves well without the ball, finishes through contact in the paint, and plays with a high motor. An active defender who impacts the game on both ends, he averaged nearly 10 points per game for Team Loaded at Session I.

-Young guard with a ton of upside as both a physical and athletic piece on the wing that can impact the game at both ends of the floor because of his physicality on the ball. Brangman-Cain takes pride in guarding high level guard or wing scorers, forcing tough shots without fouling and without that energy expended at the defensive end affecting his burst on the other end of the floor. He turned back to back steals into points, first scoring himself with an above the rim flush before hitting a teammate with a well-timed shovel pass on the second possession. High on his long term upside because of his mix of physical tools, aggressive playstyle, and resilient mentality.

Kam Cain is a player that even with how good he is right now, I think he hasn’t even got close to his potential. Kam is a great athlete and defender. He attacks the rim well and does a good job on the glass. The shot isn’t fully there yet, and once he tightens up a few other things in his game, he’s going to be even better than he is now. He was a first-team all-region selection.
