Adidas 3SSB Notebook: NCs Special 2028 Class is Just That Good

It was an incredible week of basketball in Rock Hill, South Carolina for the Adidas 3SSB Palmetto Road Championships. There was a ton of talent on display in what was a special environment that allowed guys to showcase their game in front of hundreds of college coaches and NBA personnel. Without further delay, let's take a deeper look at the NC 2028 standouts!    [program_tooltip program_id='2227286' first='Team' last='Loaded South'] 3SSB 16u had a really strong weekend in Rock Hill, only dropping one game to Compton Magic and winning all of their others. Womack was both productive and efficient in his efforts as he averaged 19.8 Points, 3.8 Rebounds, 1.5 Assists, and 1.6 Steals on 44/42/75 shooting splits. Womack's ability to maintain strong efficiency on the volume he scores at is really impressive along with how active he is at the defensive end of the floor. Womack is already near the top of this stacked class and he actually will likely get a little bump in his ranking after what was a special month for the 2028 guard out of Charlotte. His ability to make shots is without a doubt his calling card and his overall game is really strong as well.     Robinson continues to really turn the corner in his development and it's starting to show directly in his game and results for his team. This [program_tooltip program_id='2078500' first='Garner' last='Road'] 16u group had a really special weekend as they made a final four run before losing a really close one to Midwest Basketball in the semis. Throughout the weekend, Robinson's ability to make shots, make plays in transition, and exploit mismatches on the offensive end made him a guy college coaches were buzzing about as a potential gem in this stacked class. Robinson has really learned how to play over recent months, understanding situations, and doing a great job moving off the ball to give himself the best chance at getting a good look on that given possession. He'll be a real riser at next update as it's all starting to come together for [player_tooltip player_id='3637606' first='Dillon' last='Robinson'].     Hatch is a guy that is really finding his niche as a prospect with his ability to make outside shots at his size along with contributing on the glass and helping protect the rim at the defensive end of the floor. For Team Loaded VA 16u, Hatch delivered arguably his best performance of the summer in their championship win over Midwest Basketball. He finished with 18 Points and 13 Rebounds in the win, including a buzzer beating three for the win. It was a signature performance for Hatch and he overcame adversity after getting beat on the play before where Midwest took the lead. His short memory and belief in his ability to make a big shot were crucial in the win and he was able to have a really special moment for himself and his program in the process. Hatch is a truly unique prospect with his size and ability to make shots from deep.     Moore continues to shine for this [program_tooltip program_id='2227286' first='Team' last='Loaded South'] 16u team with his effort and athleticism being the engine for him at all times. They enjoyed a lot of success and a lot of that is Moore setting the standard with how hard he plays every single second he's out there. In the month of July, Moore averaged 15.9 Points, 4.5 Rebounds, 1.6 Assists, 0.7 Steals, and 0.7 Blocks while shooting over 60% from the floor. As Moore continues to hone in his outside touch and get more consistent from distance, the sky is truly the limit for him as a prospect. His impact on a game is so obvious when you watch him and genuinely goes beyond the stat sheet. He'll undoubtedly get a bump in the rankings at next update.     Morman went back with [program_tooltip program_id='2078500' first='Garner' last='Road'] 16u after spending the rest of the season with Team Loaded VA and he had an immediate impact with the group he spent last season with. His ability to play alongside [player_tooltip player_id='2909311' first='Kenyon' last='St. Louis'] was very impressive and was immediately rewarded with a game winner in the first game of the weekend. Morman makes plays for himself and others at a high level and is a truly special finisher at the rim with either hand despite being a smaller guard. It was great to see him back with this group and having a big impact as he got back to playing his game at a high level. The scoring and playmaking he provides to a lineup is simply so valuable.     McCormick made the switch over to Team Loaded Virginia for the last event of the season and had an immediate impact with this group as he's one of the more steady guards in this class here in NC. McCormick's game isn't flashy but it is incredibly effective as he's a reliable shot-maker and initiator of the offense. McCormick is really comfortable operating in ball screens with the threat of him to pull up being a real factor in helping generate quality shots out of those actions. He's a guy that will likely slowly and steadily rise through the rankings at each update and is starting to generate some real traction in the recruiting world. All in all, he was elite at his job once again this weekend as that is becoming the norm every time we see him. He just does his job at a very high level.     Hill is another guy that will absolutely rise in the rankings for this [program_tooltip program_id='2078500' first='Garner' last='Road'] 16u group as his frenetic energy and athleticism make him an incredibly impactful piece for this group. Hill runs the floor with real purpose and often gets rewarded for that with big lobs in transition and easy put backs at the rim. Defensively he's incredibly agile with the ability to slide his feet and stay in front of quicker, shiftier guards. He's also showing flashes of skill as his shot looks like it can become something and making plays as a passer when needed. Hill will continue to rise in the rankings and should start to pick up some recruiting traction in a serious way.     Jamison is one of the most efficient guards in North Carolina's 2028 class who has an impact in all aspects of the game. In their loss vs Compton Magic, Jamison finished with 20 Points on only seven attempts from the floor along with providing real contributions on the glass hauling in 5 Rebounds. Jamison can play both on or off the ball and always maintains a ton of control in his game. He's got great size for a lead guard and his trajectory as a prospect is strong as he's steadily improving in all areas every time we see him. Jamison continues to elevate his game and produce on winning teams, it will only be a matter of time before his recruitment really picks up.     Hall made the switch over to Team Loaded VA 16u for the weekend and his impact was absolutely apparent in every single viewing in Rock Hill. Hall played inspired basketball all weekend long as he was imposing his will on the opposition, flying above the rim in traffic every time you looked. He also proved he can be mobile enough to guard ball screens at a high frequency as the opposition was looking to play him out of the game by getting him in space. He was able to recover when needed, help contest jumpers in ball screens, and recover to contribute on the glass. Offensively he was dominant, using his size and footwork to mash to the rim with his back to the basket and finish with fury above the rim. A truly special talent that will only get better as he develop his touch and continues to tone up his frame.
