Robinson continues to really turn the corner in his development and it’s starting to show directly in his game and results for his team. This Garner Road 16u group had a really special weekend as they made a final four run before losing a really close one to Midwest Basketball in the semis. Throughout the weekend, Robinson’s ability to make shots, make plays in transition, and exploit mismatches on the offensive end made him a guy college coaches were buzzing about as a potential gem in this stacked class. Robinson has really learned how to play over recent months, understanding situations, and doing a great job moving off the ball to give himself the best chance at getting a good look on that given possession. He’ll be a real riser at next update as it’s all starting to come together for Dillon Robinson Dillon Robinson 6'5" | SF/SG Gaston Day | 2028 State NC .

Robinson is still one of the more under the radar talents in North Carolina and he recently announced his transfer to Gaston Day and I don’t think he’ll be super under the radar for too much longer. Robinson possesses a lot of offensive ability at his size with the ability to use his handle to break defenders down off the bounce. Robinson can make outside shots and is a weapon in transition with his size + athleticism. As Robinson continues to get more and more experience with Garner Road 3SSB and Gaston Day, his feel will greatly improve as well. He’s a real prospect to watch in this 2028 class as a wing scorer with still a lot of untapped upside.

Another emerging prospect in this 2028 class, Robinson had a super strong weekend for Garner Road 3SSB 16u, helping guide them to an undefeated 4-0 record in Indiana. Robinson averaged 8.8 Points, 0.5 Rebounds, 1.3 Assists, and 2.0 Steals per game. With this talented group, Robinson’s outside shooting and length on the defensive end give him a ton of value alongside these other talented pieces. Robinson had a big 16 Point game vs Breakaway where he was able to hit 4 triples in the blowout win. A long wing guard with outside touch, athleticism, and still a ton of room to improve, Robinson is a relatively under the radar name in this 2028 class to monitor closely as his best basketball is still ahead of him.
