West rose almost 60 spots in this latest update as the steady progression of his game and body are starting to mold him into the player we all thought he could be. West has grown to 6’5″, he’s a capable outside shooter with an improving on-ball game. With the increased physical measurables, West still shot it at a 48% clip from beyond the arc with over 100 attempts on the season. His ability to score consistently without deviating from the game plan make him an efficient option in any backcourt. West simply plays the game the right way, he always has, now that he’s growing into his frame and displaying the confidence the way that he should, there’s no doubt that he’ll start to garner a lot more attention this spring and summer. He’ll be back with Garner Road 3SSB 17u where he’ll be playing for his father, NBA veteran and one of NC’s best talent developers, David West. West will have a big spotlight on him this summer, one that I truly believe he’s ready for.

West is a kid that has steadily progressed in his skillset and physically, that development has led to making West a very productive and impactful player as a junior. He’s a wing with legit on ball skill, he can operate in ball screens, and does a great job making plays for others when needed. Trinity Academy of Raleigh is having a successful season with a 21-2 record while being completely undefeated in NCISAA play. West does so many different things for this group at both ends of the floor. He’s active on the glass, makes plays for others, and is the teams biggest/strongest athlete on the wing where he can excel in transition. West is also a capable outside shooter that has to be accounted for from beyond the arc. West is poised to take a major leap this spring/summer and this season at Trinity is simply setting him up for that.

West will see his ranking soar in the next update. One of NC’s most under the radar prospects which is kind of wild considering the bloodlines. He has steadily grown both physically and with his game, adding confidence and layers to how he can impact winning. A confident shooter with a strong frame and he’s a legit 6’5″ now. Expect West to see his recruitment pop in the coming months, a big season at Trinity will only help that and it should happen.

West stepped up in a big way with their top player in foul trouble and showcased his ability to create on the offensive end. He finished with 14 points, 12 in the first half, to show off his ability to operate with the ball in his hands. He’s more than a perimeter threat given his ability to navigate the defense and distribute as well. Look for his role to continue to grow at TAR.

West played a reserve role with Trinity Academy Raleigh this season in the 2027 class and he fared well in showing flashes of his shot-making ability in spurts. He’ll certainly hit the ground running with Garner Road on the 3SSB stage following his varsity debut with the Tigers on the NCISAA stage. He’s a dynamic 6-foot-2 shooting guard who can create off the bounce and can get hot in a hurry shooting off the catch.

West is an emerging name to get to know out of Trinity Academy Raleigh as they look to rebuild their roster with him leading the way. He’s got the ability to operate at both guard roles given his ability to handle the ball and knock down shots on the perimeter when given space. As he learns the speed of the varsity game and learns how to contribute with his energy and shooting, look for him to grow on the PH radar over the next few years.
