A recent New Mexico commit, Hilldale arrives following a strong summer with Garner Road. He is one of the top pure shooters in the country, possessing deep range and a quick release from beyond the arc. Hilldale has positional size on the wing and enough athleticism to finish above the rim when attacking the basket. His ball skills continue to improve, giving him the potential to become an even more complete offensive threat.

The North Carolina native will spend the 2026-27 season at Hargrave following an outstanding summer with Garner Road on the adidas 3SSB circuit. Hilldale is a high level shot maker with positional size, a quick release and range beyond the arc. He has the ability to create space off the bounce and has developed into a legitimate three level scoring threat. An above average athlete with an expanding offensive game, Hilldale is a prospect college coaches should be pursuing closely.

Wesley Hilldale rounds out my list of Southeast standouts from the 3SSB Palmetto Road. Wesley was arguably the hottest shooter in Rock Hill last week, shooting an impressive 17-29 (59%) from three across four games and a run to the Elite 8. Not only was Hilldale hitting shots all weekend long, but he hit them when his team needed them most, such as 5-made threes in the second half of a 3-point win over ARSE. Wesley is an ATO weapon who shoots it extremely well on the move with a quick release and good size. Wesley had the type of weekend that can be game-changing from a college recruitment standpoint, so keep an eye on his offer list to grow over the next few weeks.

Hilldale continues to shine as the sharpshooting specialist with this Garner Road 17u team on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit as he’s been remarkably efficient from beyond the arc along with providing quality contributions in other areas for this group. He’s also reaping the rewards of his work as he’s picked up an offer from Oral Roberts.

Hilldale had a super strong weekend with Garner Road 3SSB 17u as he was a shot making presence with this group, earning his first division one offer from Toledo in the process. Hilldale helped Garner Road to a 2-2 record and averaged 14.5 Points, 3.8 Rebounds, 1.5 Assists, and 1.0 Steals per game in the process. Hilldale’s ability to make shots at a high volume from distance at his size while being able to contribute in other areas make him a potential riser in this North Carolina 2027 class. He hit 13 triples over the course of four games and proved to be a super steady shot making presence for this Garner Road team, helping them get the job done. Hilldale is proving to get better and better with more time in these high level games and that’s super encouraging for his outlook at the next level.

Hilldale is a sharpshooting wing with deep range and the ability to heat up in a hurry. He has a true scorer’s mentality from the perimeter, understanding where his spots are and working off actions to consistently get quality looks. His long frame allows him to shoot comfortably over contests, making him a difficult matchup when coming off screens or relocating off the ball. Hilldale also shows a high IQ, reading defenders well and creating space without needing much separation. While his shooting stands out most, his footwork and touch give him the ability to attack downhill and finish when defenders overplay the jumper. With his combination of size, shooting, and feel for the game, he’s a prospect with a lot of upside.

Hilldale is a versatile shooter with size for this Garner Road 17u 3SSB team. Hilldale provides a great floor spacing option with the ability to swing a game as he averaged 8.3 Points, 1.8 Rebounds, and 1.3 Assists per game on 38/32/75 shooting splits. Hilldale is typically more efficient than what he showed in this small sample size but still proved to make timely shots for Garner Road throughout the weekend. Hilldale’s ability to provide spacing in Garner Road ‘s front-court really helps give guys like Jordan Page Jordan Page 6'6" | SG/SF IMG Academy | 2027 State #21 Nation FL and Brennen Jefferson Brennen Jefferson 6'3" | SG Knightdale | 2027 State NC room to operate off the bounce. He’s a key piece to this group with high hopes this spring/summer and could be a key ingredient to their success all season long.

Hilldale will be playing on the Garner Road 17u 3SSB team this spring/summer and he should provide this roster with another versatile asset that they can use in a variety of ways. Hilldale is a skilled front-court player with the ability to score it from all over the floor and operates with great situational feel allowing him to make plays for others when needed. Hilldale’s calling card is his outside shooting, at his size he can shoot over defenders closing out, he shot 43% from beyond the arc as a junior this season at Trinity of Raleigh and provided his team with a necessary presence on the glass. Hilldale will be playing alongside a lot of talent including #1 2027 in NC Jordan Page Jordan Page 6'6" | SG/SF IMG Academy | 2027 State #21 Nation FL so he’ll likely play a complimentary role in a lot of ways but he has a real chance to shine in this group and show what he can do in a similar type role he’ll likely play at the next level. He will swing games for this team on multiple occasions and really elevate his stock as a prospect in the process.

We talked a couple of weeks back about Hilldale’s game after a really strong weekend at the HoopState 252 Tip-Off and he has continue to help lead Trinity Academy of Raleigh by simply playing his game at a high level. Trinity is 4-0 now after picking up wins over local rivals North Raleigh Christian and Ravenscroft. Hilldale is a versatile front-court piece that can play in a variety of different ways. He competes on the glass, has a great pursuit of the ball, and is comfortable operating in multiple areas on the floor. He can pop or roll off the ball screen, is also comfortable reading the floor and making passes in the short roll. Just a guy that has steadily improved in all aspects over the years and there’s no reason to believe that won’t continue.

Hilldale had one of NC’s top early season individual performances vs Cresset Christian. The junior poured in 35 points in the win by simply doing his job. He was the benefactor of elite execution from him and his teammates with the occasional heat check mixed in. Hilldale uses his strong frame to finish through contact, he did a really nice job attacking after facing up, where he utilized his footwork and touch to get bucket after bucket. He also displayed the ability to pass teammates open out of the post which is a huge asset with all of the weapons around him. Look for Hilldale to have a breakout year!
