He has been an impact player for the Knicks thanks to his ability to knock down jumpers and throw down dunks. His athleticism also gives him an edge on defense, where he has the quickness and instincts to rack up blocks. Plus he jumps passing lanes from time to time. Considering his blend of size, athleticism, and scoring ability, he has the tools to be a difference maker at the next level.

Uzo Nwapa Uzo Nwapa 6'4" | CG/SG The Meadows School Las Vegas | 2027 State NV may have had the dunk of the entire weekend at the Puma NXT PRO tournament. He was getting downhill as a defender tried to take a charge, but Nwapa skied to the rim before his opponent could get set and threw down a monster dunk. It got a majority of the crowd out of their seats and was easily one of the most memorable plays of the weekend. In addition to that highlight, he showed that he’s an assertive player on offense, and I also liked how he applied consistent ball pressure on the defensive end.

Uzo Nwapa Uzo Nwapa 6'4" | CG/SG The Meadows School Las Vegas | 2027 State NV remains in the #7 slot after putting together a very solid season for The Meadows School Mustangs. He was a versatile piece for them on both ends of the court and had a lot to do with their 24-6 regular season record, along with their 3A State Championship run. On offense, he gets out in transition, drains jumpers, and is expanding his range to three-point territory. On defense, Nwapa is one to swat shots and will use his vertical to high-point rebounds. He will also be in Knicks threads this spring/summer.

He got to his spots and used his lift and high release point to shoot right over defenders. He also as mentioned above, put an exclamation point on the championship win when he got out ahead in the open court in the closing seconds and threw down a monster dunk. A fitting ending to the Mustangs’ season. Nwapa finished with a team-high 18 points.

Uzo Nwapa Uzo Nwapa 6'4" | CG/SG The Meadows School Las Vegas | 2027 State NV was efficient from the field in The Meadows School’s victory over Virgin Valley. He drained jumpers with ease and had strong takes to the rack that he finished. His quick release and twitchy movements made it difficult for defenders to contest his shots, and he finished with 20 points overall. On the defensive end, he helped protect the rim and snagged rebounds consistently.

Junior SF Uzo Nwapa Uzo Nwapa 6'4" | CG/SG The Meadows School Las Vegas | 2027 State NV recently joined the 1,000-point club at The Meadows School, a milestone that reflects both the season he’s putting together and his consistent production over time. He currently ranks fifth in Nevada in scoring at 23.2 PPG, with much of his offense coming at or near the rim. Nwapa isn’t shy about tapping into his high-flying ability either, regularly finishing above the rim when given a lane or a lob. That same bounce translates defensively, where he can block or alter shots and leverage his wingspan to make plays. Along with his individual success, Nwapa has helped power a strong year for the Mustangs, who sit at 16–5 overall and 9–0 in league play.

Pouring in shots from the perimeter and throwing down a couple of dunks. On the defensive end, he altered shots and recorded a block and a steal, finishing with 23 points.

Uzo Nwapa Uzo Nwapa 6'4" | CG/SG The Meadows School Las Vegas | 2027 State NV is one of the top players in the Class of 2027 thanks to his skill, motor, and leaping ability. He impacts the game on offense by knocking down jumpers and throwing down emphatic dunks. On defense, he’s a capable shot blocker and can high-point rebounds. Expect him to be a consistent challenge for opposing teams this season.

And he was also hitting shots from the outside, which helped keep it a close game. In addition to his offensive output, he was battling for rebounds and altering shots on defense.
