has jumped up to #3. He played quite well throughout June for the Gaels, helping them win close battles against some of the West Coast’s toughest competition. While he has always been known for getting to the cup, he’s also been knocking down mid-range jumpers and 3-pointers with greater consistency. In addition to his shot-making, he facilitates the offense well and regularly dishes out assists to his fellow guards and wings. Defensively, he constantly pesters opposing point guards and has a knack for racking up deflections and steals.

played a significant role in Bishop Gorman’s win over Sunnyslope yesterday. On offense, he converted on a couple of pull-up jumpers, plus a three-point attempt. While dishing out a number of assists to his shooters. On defense, he covered ground at a rapid rate and applied constant ball pressure, forcing Sunnyslope’s guards to play at a faster pace than they would’ve liked. Which led to a few turnovers for the Gaels.
Johnson also notably dropped 36 points on Day 1.

The Bishop Gorman PG went to work down in Arizona. Giving defenders headaches all 3 days with his elite athleticism. Johnson’s burst helped him create scoring opportunities both himself and his teammates. Plus he was getting to his jumper, connected on his 3-point attempts, and had a few dunks. Defensively, he was a pest and forced a good amount of turnovers. At the moment he has one Division I offer from Alabama St., but there could be more schools jumping on the bandwagon soon.

was a bit too much for the Pirates to contain yesterday. He used his explosive first and second steps to get right by his defender. And found himself underneath the basket in the blink of an eye. While his opponents did their best, they still had to resort to fouling him to slow him down. Beyond his attacking, he also dropped in a pair of 3-pointers for the Gaels.

Tyler’s athleticism was on full display all event, from blowing by defenders in the blink of an eye, to throwing down dunks in transition that looked effortless. Although, what caught my eye was how stagnant his team’s offense was when he was out the game. Tyler’s quick decision making and pace kept everything in flow and when he was off the ball, he was kept the floor spaced and timed his cuts perfectly to get easy lay ups. His jump shot off the dribble showed improvement and his defense was strongly aggressive, even against bigger guards.

made waves throughout his junior year, putting defenders on skates on a regular basis. He has impressive driving ability, and his bounce allows him to throw down dunks with authority. He gets the job done on defense as well, wreaking havoc with his lateral quickness, active hands, and intensity. All in all, he will be an intriguing prospect to follow next season, and he’s a player teams absolutely need to account for if they’re lacing them up against the Gaels.

is still in the #3 spot. He was very effective for them on offense thanks to his elite burst, elusiveness, and vertical. He burned defenders time and time again and flushed down dunks while making tough finishes too. The pressure he put on defenses at times was palpable, and he absolutely helped them win some close games because of it. He was also a playmaker on defense, picking off passes, coming up with loose balls, and grabbing rebounds. All in all, he played with purpose every time he was on the court, and his competitiveness was evident.

provided steady offense for Bishop Gorman thanks to his burst, athleticism, and finishing ability. He had more than a few tough drives to the rack that he dropped in. While also making a baseline jumper, plus a couple of other shots near the basket. Although the Gaels didn’t grab the win, he wrapped up a great season for them with another competitive outing.

led the way for Bishop Gorman, finishing with 23 points in an impressive all-around performance. Early on, he was facilitating and consistently getting downhill. In the second half, he kept steady pressure on the Blue Knights’ defense. Repeatedly attacking the paint and earning trips to the charity stripe. Simply put, the 2027 floor general dictated the flow of the game from start to finish.
