Ty Johnson had no issues getting downhill and out in transition at The Border League. He is simply one of the most agile guards out there, and the ground that he covers in just a few steps is usually enough for him to get a clean look. His thunderous dunks are a sight to see as well, and he has an ability to turn defense into offense. At the moment he has one D1 offer from Alabama St and there could be more coming.

Tyler Johnson had slashes through the middle of the defense at the Pangos All-American. Using his quick first and second steps to elude defenders. He also had a few dunks and rebounded utilizing his leaping skills. As a defender, he played with energy and cut his matchups off.

Although, what caught my eye was how stagnant his team’s offense was when he was out the game. Tyler’s quick decision making and pace kept everything in flow and when he was off the ball, he was kept the floor spaced and timed his cuts perfectly to get easy lay ups. His jump shot off the dribble showed improvement and his defense was strongly aggressive, even against bigger guards.
