His three-ball gives his team a decent amount of momentum, and he helps build leads or cut into deficits. As a defender, he looks to apply ball pressure and uses his quick feet to stay in front of his matchup.

He is the type of player who will light it up from beyond the arc if you leave him unmarked, as his form allows him to be quite accurate. He also uses his IQ to set up his teammates for quality looks and overall plays unselfish. On the other end of the court, he gives good effort and competes with intensity.

was on Bishop Gorman’s JV team this past season. He is a sniper from downtown and can hit shots that are a few feet beyond the arc. To go with his outside shooting, Gries also some touch and is capable of draining floaters. As a defender, he uses his speed and agility to jump into passing lanes.
