Washington has found success inside the arc, at his best while attacking the rim. A gritty two-way guard who embraces contact on either end of the floor, he has carved out a serviceable niche with Fountain-Fort Carson. With the ball on string alongside a quick first step to take advantage of lackluster defense, opposing defenses will have to play conservatively one on one. Defensively, the guard takes away space early, forcing his opponent into chaotic circumstances from the jump.

Washington is about as fast in the break as anybody in transition, quickly pushing the pace immediately after the defensive board. Constantly looking to draw opponents into the paint, the guard has no trouble blowing by opponents with his first step. A playmaking utility guard, Washington does the dirty work on the glass and holds his own defensively. A wiry strong guard, he is built to tackle a wide variety of opponents along the perimeter. Excellent at attacking openings in the defense, he pressures the rim or makes quick passes while the defense is rotating.
