Impacting winning at the 17 U level doesn’t have to be flashy as Gregg showed for Wildcat Select. Knocking down a couple jumpers with his feet set, Gregg spaces the floor and moves without the ball. Gregg also dove on the floor for a steal and hit a couple cutters off set plays. Nothing flashy about his game on a top shoe circuit but Gregg is effective.

Gregg was dominant in North Oldham’s opening round victory as he was physically overpowering most of Grayson County on the glass, finishing with 13 rebounds to go along with a team-high 24 points. I loved the actions North Oldham used to get Gregg the basketball on the wing, having him run off pin down screens and clearing out the court for him to operate in the high post. Gregg is an impressive shooter off movement and his skillset is a perfect fit for a North Oldham team that has a great blend of ball movement, size and physicality.

A big wing shooter, Gregg had some big time scoring games last season. He’s got the ability to heat up in a hurry from the perimeter but Tommy hasn’t hit his ceiling yet. Still with plenty of room to improve as a driver and finisher, I look for Gregg to have a big season and show how efficient of a scorer he can be.

One of the highest ranked prospects in attendance at Marian on Sunday, Gregg is ranked #19 in the Class of 2027 by Prep Hoops Kentucky. The standout from North Oldham High School really shined showcasing his impressive combination of size, athleticism, and skill. College coaches across all levels will want to continue evaluating this prospect over the next two seasons.

Gregg had a strong Sophomore season with a few big scoring games. Tommy has a quick shot with fluid mechanics and is improving his overall skill level and adding bulk to his frame. With great positional size and a high prospect ceiling, Gregg projects as a scholarship level player and should have some D1 eyes on him as well.

Most coaches love a big wing shooter and Tommy matches that description perfectly. Standing 6’6 and having shot 49% from three as a Sophomore, Gregg will check a lot of boxes for coaches who are in the market for a player who can get hot from the perimeter as well as guard his position on the other end. Playing for a Kentuckiana Hoops team that is having success on the NXT circuit, look for Tommy to be a potential breakout candidate this summer.

North Oldham is loaded with long wings who can get hot from three in a hurry and Gregg is no exception. Tommy averaged 10 points per game and shot 49% from three this past season. As the rest of his game continues to evolve, the 6’4 shooter is a name for schools to monitor.

Gregg moved up over 100 spots since our last update and has to be one of the top shooters in the state so far this season. Tommy is hitting 56% of his three point attempts and has good size at 6’4 and growing. A player to watch for sure.

Efficiency is the name of the game and nobody did it better than Gregg on Wednesday. The 2027 wing had 22 points on 9/10 shooting from the floor and took a bunch of set shots that fit within the flow of the offense. North Oldham did an excellent job of moving the basketball and Gregg was the play finisher for them, with a handful of corner 3-pointers and a few buckets from the elbow area as well. Gregg also got himself some easy looks by simply running the floor and either getting fed the ball in transition or getting early position for second chance opportunities. Was really impressed by the style of basketball North Oldham played and they earned their win with a strong second half push fueled by Gregg.
