Green is a very fundamentally sound player with a high IQ. He can make plays with the ball in his hands or be a secondary attacker and catch and shoot threat.

North Oldham needs to replace a ton this season and Green is possibly the next one up for the Mustangs. They’ve had a run of great guards the last few seasons with Dallas Roberts and Grant Neal. Hard to tell if Eli will be that level of player or not but he has flashed some potential at our events over the last year or two and could be a scholarship level player in time.

One of the few prospects who came from out of state to compete, Green was getting busy with the ball in his hands on Sunday morning, making his long trip to Mason worth it. Not sure any player took shots as deep as Green did and he was knocking them down. As a slasher, Green had a sweet reverse layup and an and-1 layup as well. Really impressed by Green as one of the more talented scorers in the league.

One of the coaching staff’s favorite players at our freshman event, Green has carved himself out a role as a bench contributor on a North Oldham team that sits atop the 8th region standings. Green is long and lanky with a frame that looks like he’ll be 6’3+ in the near future. For right now, he moves up from 64th to 54th on the back of a good start to his high school career and his long term potential.

Green was a favorite of all the coaches and staff on Saturday. Affectionately nicknamed “mouse” by coaches at camp, Eli was usually the smallest player on the floor when he was out there but played harder than almost everyone. He was mixing it up with the post players and taking their rebounds. Green won’t likely contribute on varsity this year but as hard as he plays, he’ll be a nice player for North Oldham, long term.
