Waller is a prospect with a ton of upside thanks to his ability to play around the rim or step out and knock down threes. CJ has shown that he can compete with the best of the best without backing down. Whatever level of college program Waller signs at will be getting a prospect with a lot of upside. If he gets his motor running, he’s going to be a problem for opposing schools.

A big body who is still figuring out just how good he can be, CJ caught my eye a couple of times last summer in camp settings. Coming off of a solid Junior season at Lawrence County, Waller is comfortable playing on the block or stepping out to shoot the three ball. I also think he’s got growing left to do. Long term, CJ could be a steal for a college coach.

A new name in the state after a transfer over from West Virginia, CJ has a very high prospect ceiling and looks like he’s still got some growing to do. Waller has tended to float around the perimeter a little too much when I’ve seen him play but he is a good shooter and offers some good rim protection on the defensive end. A potentially big impact player in the region this season.

Waller is an interesting prospect because of his size and his offensive skill set. He also looks like he’s going to keep growing and developing. He’s got a high ceiling and his floor will only be low if he doesn’t develop a motor that matches his skills and potential. CJ is certainly a name to monitor over the upcoming months and could be the next great mountain prospect if he starts to realize how good he can be.

Recently transferring to Lawrence County from West Virginia, Waller has good size and solid defensive timing as a shot blocker. He’s got a nice jump shot but tends to float around the perimeter a little too much. Just based off his size and skill set, CJ is probably a top 30 kid in the 2027 class when rankings are updated.
