One of the more entertaining games of the weekend was Phenom United 3SSB Vs Midwest Basketball Club MHC in a game that was within one or two possessions until the final few minutes. Foster’s shot-making on the perimeter was a key reason why Phenom United 3SSB was able to pull away as his quick trigger from beyond the arc allowed him to break the zone defense. It was nice to see Foster shoot the ball with so much confidence and play well off the other guards on Phenom United’s roster. With the abundance of scoring talent on this Phenom United 3SSB roster, it’s likely going to be a different player taking the leading scoring role each game.

Earlier in Foster’s career, a bad shooting night from beyond 3-point range would’ve likely meant he struggled to make an impact in the game. Now a Junior and more mature, Foster is finding other ways to impact the game and had the highlight of the night with a sick putback dunk. Foster also cut well off the ball, using the threat of his jumper to get open. Foster also had some strong finishes at the rim and was active in the Spartans full court pressure defense. Impressive resiliency shown by the Spartans after falling behind early in a tough road environment.

Lima Senior is going to be must watch this winter with tons of guards who can impact the game on both ends of the court. Lima has a history of winning the award as Zavier Simpson, Jamar Butler, Aaron Hutchins and Greg Simpson have all won Mr Basketball from Lima. Could Foster be the next to win the award? We shall see.

Staying in Ohio for prep school, Foster moved from Lima to Geneva as Spire begins their Nike Scholastic era under new Head Coach Kevin Boyle. The lone Ohio native on the Nike Scholastic roster at the moment, Foster is an elite shooter he already has a handful of high major offers. Foster leaves behind a Lima Sr program that still expects to contend for a Division II state title with a handful of talented guards still on the roster.

Foster’s offensive eruption against Wildcat Select was one of the reasons why I in my mind I think he is best prospect in the state of Ohio in the class of 2027. He hit shots from the parking lot and there wasn’t much of an answer for his trying to stop him. He also was a frequent customer at the foul line. Foster also allowed himself to navigate his way to different spots on the floor and convert shots from there. I think the biggest question mark I have with Foster is hoping that his frame can develop overtime to allow him to carry more weight on his body. He should see many mid and high major programs contact him during June.

Foster was killing for
All Ohio Red
with numerous 3-pointers and transition dunks as they built a big early lead against
Midwest Basketball Club 3SSB
. Foster was playing through a left-hand injury which had him wearing tape around his wrist and hand. I’ve been impressed with Foster’s athletic growth as he’s flying in the air on dunks which including a sweet alley-oop slam where he flew to throw it down. One of the top prospects in Ohio’s 2027 class, Foster is now teaming up with

One of the elite shooters in Ohio regardless of class, Foster caught fire on Monday in a statement victory for Lima Senior against Pace Academy out of Atlanta. Few players shoot the ball with the confidence and range that Foster does and it looks really pretty coming out of his hands. He even had a windmill dunk to end the game as the Spartans secured their biggest victory of the season thus far. They’ll be a team to watch in Division II as we approach playoff time.
