Bobby Lopez | Prep Hoops Scout
Coet is putting together a breakout stretch and it’s been impossible to ignore. Every time he steps on the floor, he looks more confident, more in control and more dangerous. We’ve always known he can fill it up, but this weekend he showed a whole new layer by commanding the offense, making the right reads and delivering on time, on target passes that kept teammates rolling. He’s not just scoring, he’s orchestrating. Defenses are starting to feel that pressure too, as he picks them apart with poise and vision. When the game speeds up, Coet slows it down. That growth is what separates good players from true difference makers and he’s trending way up

Coet has made one of the bigger jumps since last summer, showing how much growth can happen when skill work meets confidence. After first seeing flashes of potential, this season he put everything together and became a far more complete offensive threat. Averaging 13.4 points and 2.9 assists, he showed he can score while also creating for others. His outside shot remains a weapon, but the biggest development was how consistently he attacked the paint. He put pressure on defenses, forced rotations, and opened clean looks for teammates. That added dimension changed his impact. With his feel, improved pace, and expanding offensive package, Coet’s trajectory is clearly trending upward heading into the summer

has taken strides and bounds in his game this year, establishing his confidence and showcasing that fine-tuning your game in the offseason pays off. Going from just 2.5 PPG his freshman year to now 14.5 PPG and 3.3 APG, Coet has elevated his intensity of play to new heights. When he’s given an inch of room, Coet’s 5’10 frame, along with his quickness, allows him to blow by any defender and capitalize from all three levels of offense. Expect Coet to turn it up a notch as the rest of February unpacks.

Coet is a special player and a true difference maker whenever he’s on the floor. His fearless approach and ability to attack the lane puts constant pressure on defenses, while his excellent court vision and pinpoint passing elevates the play of everyone around him. He always keeps his head up, makes the right read and controls the tempo. Defensively he switches seamlessly and competes on every possession. When he gets hot from three, he can change a game in a hurry, making him absolutely crucial to Mead’s success this season

Coet has been one of the more explosive scorers we’ve seen from this class, and that has been on display all summer. Coet is a microwave shooter who can get hot from deep, and that used to be the focus on how to slow him down, but he’s also shown the ability to create and score at all three levels, and that makes him dangerous. His off-ball movement and shooting touch fit perfectly in Mead’s system, and this season I expect him to make a leap this season. With improved playmaking and confidence, Coet looks ready to produce on varsity and continue rising up the rankings but jumps on the rankings after time on the watch list this season.

Coet is a player known for his perimeter shooting but made it a point to get out to the showcase and show an expanded game that caught me by surprise. He showed composure as a primary ball handler, manipulated defenses, and attacked off the dribble for some easy finishes as well as kick-outs. He finished around the rim, scored easily, and also made sure defenses had to figure out if they wanted to stop the shot or drive. Seth looked to be in control, and that’s what separates the top players in these settings. Things seem to slow down a bit for the top players, and that was the case for him. He impressed by showing he can contribute beyond just being a shooter, making him one of the top guards on the day.

Coet had a summer that vaulted him onto the watchlist. It was highlighted by a 38-point outburst at Colorado Live where he was lethal from deep. He’s proven he can step back and knock down the three ball with confidence. At the showcase we’ll be looking to see him expand that arsenal. By putting the ball on the floor, attacking the basket, and showing that full scoring versatility. Furthermore if he can pair his perimeter shooting with consistent rim pressure, he’ll become an even tougher cover and solidify himself as a complete offensive weapon

Coet continues to solidify himself as one of the most dynamic shooters in his class. He lit it up from deep, finishing with 34 points and at least five made threes in one game, then followed it up with another impressive performance, knocking down five more triples in his final showcase appearance. Coet’s quick release and natural feel for the game make him a nightmare for defenders trying to close out. He knows how to get to his spots and doesn’t need much space to let it fly. What truly stood out this weekend was his evolution as a playmaker. As defenses keyed in on his shooting, Coet used his vision to make timely passes. He was threading the ball inside to open teammates and keeping the offense flowing. His ability to score at a high level while also creating for others makes him a complete offensive threat and a rising name to watch closely

Coet gained valuable experience as a freshman for Mead, appearing in 24 games and averaging 2.5 points per contest. While his role was limited he showed flashes of potential, and that promise is quickly turning into production. This summer, Coet has taken a noticeable leap earning the trust of his coaches. He is showcasing the skill set that points to a breakout on the horizon. In one standout performance, he exploded for 30 points, putting his efficient three point shooting on full display. He has a smooth stroke from deep and doesn’t need much space to get his shot off. Coet also attacks the lane with confidence, finishing through contact and showing improved strength around the rim. His development as a passer has been another key area of growth, as he continues to evolve into a well-rounded offensive weapon. With his scoring ability and growing confidence, Coet is positioning himself as a rising star to watch

Coet is super impressive with his ability to impact the game in key moments. In one game alone this weekend he finished with 30 points and was absolutely dominant. He’s a clutch shooter who is absolutely lethal from the corner three. His release is smooth, and he doesn’t need much space to get it off. When attacking the lane Coet shows excellent control. Finishing through contact or drawing the defense before finding the cutter with precision. Off the ball, his timing and instincts on cuts are advanced. He is consistently creating separation and capitalizing with strong finishes around the rim. Definitely a player that should be on radars moving forward
