As he became more comfortable, you could see the game slowing down for him and his production rising. That late season momentum is important, because players who figure things out and keep improving often make big jumps. Stapp looks like someone whose best basketball is still ahead of him

The sophomore class they got over at Mead is a fun one, full of talented prospects that are getting the experience needed to make a push for it next year or year after. They have solid guards and players who know what is expected of them. A player who has starred in his role is athletic wing, Stapp. Stapp has been the team’s catalyst early on. He delivers physicality and finishes high-energy plays. He goes all out on rebounds and keeps plays alive and is willing to do the dirty work for the team. He’s also a paint protector for the team. He’s putting up 6.1 rebounds and 2.4 blocks a game, and I expect him to have a big second half of the season as Mead tries to get the season on the right foot. He jumps on the rankings as a new name to know. 

Stapp is gaining valuable minutes for Mead and making the most of every opportunity. A tough nosed player, he does the dirty work inside, isn’t afraid to take or create contact, and battles on every possession. His physicality brings energy and toughness to the lineup, and if defenses lose track of him, he’s capable of catching fire and going on a scoring run. Stapp’s effort, edge and growing confidence make him an important contributor as his role continues to expand
