Krug had several standout performances as a sophomore and showed why he is one of the more intriguing returning scorers in the area. The Vista Ridge guard averaged 11.7 points per game and delivered a breakout 25 point performance that highlighted his offensive upside. What makes Krug so effective is his ability to score from all three levels, whether it’s knocking down shots from the perimeter, pulling up in the midrange, or attacking the basket. He plays with confidence, gets to his spots off the dribble, and continues to improve as a creator. After finishing last season with strong momentum, Krug appears poised for an even bigger role and could be in line for a breakout junior campaign
Krug made a major statement this season by carrying the offensive load for his Vista Ridge and proving he can be a go to scorer. Averaging 11.7 points per game while exploding for a season high 25, he showed the ability to take over when needed. What makes Krug so intriguing is his three level scoring package. He can knock down shots from deep, rise up in the mid range and attack the rim with confidence. His crossover is a real weapon, helping him create separation and get downhill where he puts pressure on defenders. Krug’s ability to generate offense for himself and others makes him a tough matchup every time out. As he continues to add strength and consistency, his rise feels very real. Players who can create their own shot the way Krug does are always valuable, and his stock is clearly moving up
Krug has quickly established himself as a go to option for Vista Ridge, leading the team in scoring at 11.3 points per game as just a sophomore, and the scary part is he’s still scratching the surface of his potential. He’s crafty and composed, using pump fakes, strong drives and a soft floater to create offense, while his ability to get shots off in tight windows separates him from defenders. On the other end he brings toughness and competitiveness, taking pride in his defense. With his skill set, confidence and room to grow, Krug’s trajectory is pointing straight up and he’s proving he belongs firmly on the radar
Krug is a name you should get familiar with sooner rather than later. As a sophomore leader for Vista Ridge, his feel for the game stands out immediately. He’s poised with the ball, sees the floor at a high level and consistently puts teammates in the right spots. Offensively he’s crafty creating separation, using smart cuts and screens to free himself for quality looks, making him a constant threat defenses must account for

is an elite playmaker who constantly sees the floor with his head on a swivel. Krug is always shot-ready and moves around the perimeter off the ball often to get himself open. On defense, Krug stays in between passing lanes and communicates with his teammates loud and clear. At 6’0, Krug bursts past his matchup frequently and converts at a high percentage across all three levels of the floor.
Krug had a strong and impactful weekend, demonstrating why he’s such a valuable playmaker and all around contributor. His court vision was impressive, consistently delivering clean, accurate passes that set up teammates for easy baskets and kept the offense flowing smoothly. On the glass, Krug showed great tenacity and positioning, grabbing crucial rebounds on both ends to extend possessions and limit second chance points for opponents. Off the ball, his intelligent and timely cuts created separation from defenders, opening passing lanes and scoring opportunities. Throughout the weekend, Krug’s combination of smart decision making, hustle, and unselfish play made him a consistent difference maker and a key piece in his team’s success
