Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Offensively, I focus on finding open looks, whether it's off the catch or coming off screens. I’m always working to get my shot off quickly and efficiently. I spend a lot of time in practice perfecting my form and my range, and I make sure to stay confident. On defense, I stay active and make sure I'm vocal while contributing to other areas, like rebounding or setting screens.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’d describe my mentality as being positive and determined. I like to keep an open mind and always look for ways to grow, whether it’s through school or sports. I believe in hard work and doing my best, but I also try to stay flexible and not get too stressed if things don’t go as planned. Personality-wise, I’m friendly and enjoy being around people, but also value my alone time to recharge.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am involved with the Leadership Society Team at my school. In addition, I am involved in the Affinity Group which promotes African American culture and community. I was nominated to represent The Prairie School as a student ambassador at HOBY Wisconsin Leadership Seminar.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Each year i complete over 25 hours of community service. It’s made me realize how important it is to give back and support others, Teamwork is huge for me, too, whether it's in basketball, group projects, or hanging out with friends, I’ve learned how to communicate clearly and be supportive. I know that everyone brings something different to the table, and by working together, we can achieve more.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Yes, I’ve definitely faced some challenges. One of the biggest ones was when I had to juggle school, sports, and my personal life all at once. It felt like I was constantly rushing from one thing to the next, and I started to feel really stressed and overwhelmed. I had to learn how to manage my time better and prioritize what was most important.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college that has a good balance between academics and athletics. I want a place where I can push myself in the classroom but also continue to play basketball at a competitive level. It’s important to me to find a college with a positive, supportive atmosphere, where people really care about each other and there are good resources to help students succeed.
